Thats a real shame you missed it but at least they have got you in quickly.

My mum is in a bad way, last week she really worried me as on the phone she was stuttering and I could hear her shaking from the pain and cold when her steroids were too low, she still can't drive as can't change gear but is at the consultants right now so is hoping for a steroid injection so she can get rid of some of the pain and get more mobile. My wrists are really sore but tubi grip wraps are helping when I need.

You rebel you! no lights indeed :p

Thats horrendous for your mum, Pippajo! I hope they can do something for her *immediately*, that would be good.

    Hello pot! :D

My trouble is that not only do they want ID - a passport, fine - they want a printed utility bill. I don't have any! So I kind of abandoned the search ... well, my accounts came first, thats my story and I'm sticking to it, yadda yadda....

    :o busted

Right then KC - spend 15 minutes RIGHT NOW sorting out a printed utility bill. Why don't you have any? Not been there longenough? Or do you have them all on email? Can you ring the gas suppliers and request confirmation of your account or something??

Darn it we'll get you registered with the GP This Very Week, one step at a time!

(pippajo and mum))))))) gosh, sounds absolutely rotten :( Hope they can sort her out immediately xxx

Ah I have the same problem with a CRB check at the moment, have nothing with new address from the list and they won't accept a bank statement printed off the internet.

    Good advice from Cheery :D

KC, why on earth do the Dr's need ID. I just phoned, booked an appointment and filled a form in when I got there. Strange they want all of that. Do you not have a Council Tax bill? That should suffice or even your telephone/internet bill. What would happen if you needed them in an emergency - would they not see you until you produced a bill? Stupid Dr. Have you got your NHS medical number whatsit they can use that. You must have something from the hospital at your new address you could show them that. I think you have met Sharon, you know the jobsworth kind who says "computer says NO"
