Thanks Taxi! I haven't done any more yet, tbh - I think I've made a slight bollix with the water company, tho nothing that can't be sorted out. They're weird up there - its one water company for water coming into the property, and another one for water leaving. Very odd.

OTOH, what I *have* done - went for a walk around the block, and then after sitting down here begging for this cup to be taken from me, I went up into the loft and got down both the junk thats in there that needs to go to the tip tomorrow, *and* the insulation I'm taking with me, thats never been used in this house. It took forever (well, about two hours) - I was lobbing the little bits through the hatch and just letting the big stuff drop through. The hall is filthy, with foam bits in the air too, its vile.

But apart from a tidy up of the loft floor *if* I have time, and only if, thats the loft completely clear :j *and* only the water bill to sort out.

Then this evening (translated: tomorrow) its back to cleaning :eek::eek:

    Hi KC

Finally got diary/head (and house) sorted out..

.Rats :mad:.......unfortunately I am in for a day op on 17th so may not be able to be around on 18th when you move until the afternoon.

However I am free before then - will give you a bell toorrow afternoon to see if/when you need a hand with packing/de-cluttering/loft climbing etc. I am free most days between now and the 18th (and obviously can be around to help you in the new place :D)

I also have moving boxes i can bring down if needed

    Speak tomorrow Hun

Evening! It is progress, it really is.

Wol - your day op is going ahead! Are you pleased or worried or both? 17th is when the packers are in, so apart from boiling the kettle for some tea (I'll do it once, they're on their own after that) and packing up the plants-in-pots, all I'm doing by then is wafting about .... please don't worry about coming along to work - after all, I need a sit down and a cuppa tea :) I *might* need another declutter (table legs :rotfl:) and it might be after the business partner has gone on hols, but frankly sitting down with someone for a cuppa tea is just as important.

This is the thing I'm finding about having had so much space to myself - I don't know if you found this, Wol - but because I had the space to put things by and just carry on, I just put things by and ignored them, over and over and over again, which is where the clutter comes from. As the removal man said, I don't actually have that much furniture. Its all *stuff*

Morning! I'm dreaming about the boat that Lula was mentioning over the last few days, sigh .......

Otherwise, got an hour of paid work this morning, then its off to the tip with business partner (I'd call him BP, but that would get confusing :rotfl:) and then he's got manly things to do with radiator grilles, and I have, um, people things to do at supermarkets. I'm regressing to Waitrose pesto for the next few weeks as I don't want to take the time to go to Asda, and Waitrose is on my way back from the tip :)

Then its back to washing things - dishes, clothes, floors, you name it, I'll wash it :D

It looks a bit funny, I think there might be too many 'r's in there!

Am really hungry too this morning *passes round virtual (gluten free) cake *

:hello: Afternoon all! There are a lot of 'r's in that word, aren't there? Tho I wouldn't say too many :rotfl:

I really need to get out more - I've just been to the tip, and I was really impressed, we usually go to the other one. The "general rubbish" bit was a whole warehouse all on its own  which says a lot about the problem :( still, only a bit of mine went there.

    This load consisted of:
    - tuner amp
    - speakers (Wharfedales! In my youth, they were *so* good!).
    - bookcase thing I used as a display cabinet
    - umbrella stand
    - broken suitcase from the loft, thats gone mouldy inside.
    - several oblongs of mdf, from broken flatpack furniture.
    - broken drying rack.
    - plastic milk crate :o
    - kitchen storage thing, from Lakeland originally, I think.
    - two bags of books.
    - a bag of clothes.
    - two chairs - beautifully carved, originally, but they had woodworm :(
    - an old study lamp.
    - a magazine rack.

Thing is, apart from a couple of sweatshirts, I wasn't using *any* of this stuff, it was just cluttering up my space. Astonishing. Now I have to go over to The Great Declutter thread and number this stuff :D:D:D
