I'm glad its bearable, at least. Thinking of taking my sister to the local beauty spot today, I got to wondering if you ever go down to the beach to watch the waves? Sometimes when you live really close, you don't do things like that, but its so lovely to watch the sea, I find.......

Sounds like a really productive day, somehow you work better if there's someone helping, get more than double the amount done.

Oh of course! Its a busy beach, and thats very different.

It was, thanks Gill, it was exactly like that! I wish I'd done more in the late afternoon/evening, but there you go, can't do it all.

At the moment, I've suddenly decided to declutter some more books. Lots of them are up on Amazon, and they've been up there maybe a year - I've no intention of taking them to the new house, so out they go to the charity shop. And there's lots of things to wash, so they don't go to the new house all dusty :o

In decluttering, I've found a book on dust mites - I don't need the book (it collects dust, after all :rotfl:) but I'm making a quick note of action to take - allergies and arthritis are both implicated :eek::eek: which is really important to me

Thanks Fay - 23 books gone so far :D and the book on house dust mites is one of them - I spent 10 minutes doing a bulletin point email to myself, well worthwhile :j

The doors were dreadful! Not only specks of grease that had migrated, but because I'd blu taked up some recipes and whatnot, I never did even normal cleaning :o

Because the new house doesn't need any investment in the infrastructure (apart from some twiddles to the roof "the next time I implement rolling maintenance" :rotfl: said my surveyor) I'm free to tweak things like dust-free and declutter and even, sigh, batch cooking :j and my sister has said that when I pop over I can borrow her breadmaker to make gluten free bread :kisses3:

Decluttering still going great i see....you'll be worn out by the time you move but it'll all be worth it.
