:hello: Morning! Thank you all, folks, for the hugs and the chocolate, feeling fine today - iplayer is a wonderful thing and I have my sister coming round, who is also wonderful :kisses3:

Well, the place is finally starting to feel like the packing is having an effect .... the ensuite (as would be) is positively echoey :rotfl:and I've found out *another* reason why I have more time than most people on here, apart from not commuting and not ironing, that is :o:o my kitchen is absolutely filthy, I mean, seriously, who knew that grease travelled that far? Well, obviously, everybody else did, which is why people spend so much more time than me cleaning, but I'm even ashamed for my sister to see it, let alone the people moving in (imagine an infinite number of embarrassed smilies here). I blame the tendency to accumulate clutter. If I wasn't focussing on doing that, I'd have noticed, surely to heaven, that the wall was .... like that :o:o. I'm a bad person :rotfl::cool: evil :rotfl::cool: and all that :cool: Mostly, I *enjoy* being bad, but sometimes bad is just .... baa-aa-ad :eek: Okay, enough, I'll stop now.

Off for a canter around the boards before I start doing my thing.

I know what you mean - my kitchen kickboards always look as though someone has thrown a cup of coffee all the way along them.....yet I know that hasn't happened! No matter how much I clean a la flylady, my cupboard fronts and kickboards don't half look grimy!

Glad you recognise it, Hypno! And it *is* exciting, being about to do this move - I'll be getting my life back from the packing (well, after the UNpacking ) but also from being stuck out in the sticks with nothing local to call on. Happy Happy Happy.

Am sure you and your sister will get it cleaned pretty quick as it's somuch easier when it's empty

Happy cleaning KC out with the stardrops. know what you mean about the cupboards etc mine always look like they could do with a clean even when Ive already done them :rotfl:

Good luck with the cleaning, I always work better if my sister is round to help, she's far more houseproud than I, so moves things out, whereas I work around things. I blame the fact that she had one of those little Barratt houses and had nothing else to do but keep it spotless.

Hiya! It went really well - when she gets going, she's just more *efficient* than I am, thats all there is to it, she's had a lot more calls on her time than I have, she's not houseproud either

We cleaned the inside of the windows with plain water, and they look absolutely fine, which I'm really pleased about. We did the kitchen cupboard doors, inside and out, and some of the shelves, the walls and the floors. It was me that kept stopping because I wanted to eat and then I wanted to take her to a local beauty spot she's never seen.

Collapsed onto the sofa since then, but I've been tidying and whatnot too.
