Morning, glad the headache has gone and you're having a nice cup of tea :)

I hope Haywards Heath is sunny when you get there!

Sigh ... I hope I get there. Just had half an hour on the phone to the Nationwide. Oh how I hate the Nationwide, even tho they have such low rates. They're worse than Tatco, they really are. This time, my conveyancer is saying not to make any further repayments under the existing mortgage, because he's doing the whole redemption statement thing. Can they understand this? Not until I get to a senior consultant.

And the whole time, I've been saying, okay, you won't accept that, please put it in writing that I'll get back any overpayments because the redemption figure and my monthly payments will be out of sync. And they refused. Its only the senior consultant who agreed to confirming their actions in writing (and to the request that my conveyancer is making), and even so, she can only get it put in writing because she'll walk the request round to the typing pool or whatever they call it and make a personal request. Its still against the rules, but she can get round the rules, because she has the seniority. I mean, really. Its insane. I never want to talk to them again, and now that they've altered the rules on their credit card, I'll be shutting that down too, as soon as I've moved.

Nope, they really don't. It put me off doing anything else for the rest of the afternoon, so I went for a walk, and bought a chocolate bar :D just done the washing up and cooked some food. I'll do some more stuff this evening, but no more internetty type things, I've had it after that.

It seems strange that they didn't accept it, as I assumed it was standard practice. Conveyancer needs to know redemption figure is accurate. They're all the same..anything to get extra money out of you.

    Hello again KC,

'tis ages since I posted here, although I do a fair bit of lurking.

You are now my decluttering guru, that talk did me a lot of good & I've just found a chap on gumtree who buys old records ... :D

    Hugs for you

Boo to nationwide. yay to chocolate!

I'm feeling much better thanks, the bug that has gone round the area was so bad that one guy was admitted to hospital with a suspected stroke. Its a wierd one, usual buggy stuff plus real off balance type thing - thank goodness for Buccastem tablets :D.

Soon be moved. Told DH that I think with effort we could be DFW and MFW within 10 years, then with owning house outright and poss savings we could move house :j. He really liked that idea, took it on board too. We shall see...............;)

    Have a good day x
