You are sounding totally in control of all this packing and very organised.0

Thanks Taxi - I'm doing good, but I'll need the professionals in at the end of the day. I've been working at the repotting today, finally - most of the aloe vera has been done, a tiny baby euphorbia, which had grown local roots from a sucker and I really hope it survives, and some of the fennel that sprouted in the front - I should have listened to Fay, they're a bit big, to be honest, but I hope they make it too.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Morning! I'm going into town today, and just working out the route to be as efficient as possible - I got up an hour earlier than I should have, by accident, so I'm a bit ker-nackered. So the plan is this:
- check with local record shop to see if they buy 2nd hand vinyl. If they reply no, ask them if they'll take it for free - I'm not trekking round all the record shops for tuppence ha'penny.
- dump curtains etc at charity shop.
- go to the bank - at the very least, exchange an old £20 note for a new one.
- tatco - gluten free pasta, AAA batteries, a watch if they do them (Argos if not).
Hmmm. Doesn't look very much, but I need that watch - I lost mine last week, and I can't work today without getting one. Ah well.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
It's still a fair amount of trekking about...good luck with finding a watch.0

Ooh, I forgot - a birthday card for my brother's youngest son .... oh b*gger. Many, many many rude words, its a birthday with a zero at the end. Oh ***, *******, and ******.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I managed to do nearly all of it - the record shop doesn't open till 11, but I took the phone number and I'll ring them. I got the watch at Argos for £8, plus a belt from Primark for £3 - the one I currently use I bought for about the same, and I've been using it day in day out for over 2 years, its *decidedly* the worse for wear :rotfl:
I've still got more adminny stuff to do (including inputting 2 mystery shops, that *has* to be done), but my paid work starts at 5pm and I'm shattered already, cos of that hour's sleep I missedso I may just have a little relax

Welcome! I've posted on your thread .... not sure what the f/b is about tho....
Thanks re the belt and watch! Um, I haven't rung the record shop - I really feel the lack of that hour of sleep, and there's been a couple of big family emails I needed to write. And I haven't written that flipping card yet either. Uh oh. I have 45 mins.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
