Hellooo.. Sunday sounds like great fun! Glad you got good news from the doctor, but I would definitely be complaining about her. Doesn't matter if certain phrases or ways of saying things are 'her way' if they're not appropriate.

So how good were crowded house ? Not a hve fan of mcartney myself but crowded house yep I think they are good
They were good - I was trying to remember some of what seemed to be the titles, but they're gonecan you list any, El? And as for Macca - I think he's one of the greatest lyricists of the 20th century.... and I also think the man has an ego the size of the planet
:kisses3: love him anyway

You're one up on me then! I'm really solo songwriter activist or ballad type stuff.... but even that, I'm not really into as in "listening actively constantly"Peace and quiet are really important to me - its probably cos of all that exploding brain stuff

Hellooooo! Oh yeah, pootling is wonderfulI've chickened on going to the post office today - I just want to drink tea then loll about. Thanks for reminding me about the doc, I'd forgotten - she's not going to get away with that.
Pootling here .... decluttering the odd envelope into the recycling, packing tomorrow's sends. I might do a survey as a means of keeping myself in the good books of lightspeed or yougov. Other than that, its a sleeeeepy day2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Meant to say, I like Crowded House too, not sure what they've done recently but no doubt they'll have thrown a few classics in like 'Weather With You'?Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Have a look here for some info/songs! "Weather with you" and "Four seasons in one day" on some others will eternally remind me of a trip into/through the outback in Oz. 5 of us (one of whom was a guide
) for 10 days meandering (via very out of the way, dirt back roads) from Adelaide, via Broken Hill, Oodnadatta track, Lake Eyre, Coober pedy, the back roads to Uluru, Kata Tjuta and finally on to Alice Springs, camping out in swags under the stars and eating campfire cooked food (yummy). One of the best trips of my life!
At one point there was a massive thunder storm miles away but everything was so flat you could see for miles. 4 of us got into the trailer and watched the storm... with weather with you and Four seasons in one day (amongst other songs) blaring out at top volume while we travelled along drinking a beer! :j
:jI think Neil Finn played one of the free concerts during the Sydney Olympics when I was there too but I only heard a wee bit of it. Fab!

I'll check, thank you - thats what I need, titles
In the meantime, Macca's whole bit of the concert has been posted onto youtube - officially, with all the swooping camera work and the length of it

He sounds out of key, but he wasn't, honest :beer:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Pineapple Head! (that's a Crowded House song, not an insult
)

This morning, I'm in kind of angry mood, to be honest - about pensions, of all things. Ten years ago, a woman my age would have been less than 5 years away from retirement. Come forward to the present day, and I'm looking at just over ten years till I can retire. In the meantime six men at the top of the Network Rail tree get *yearly* bonuses totalling over £2 million. Martin's logo of "consumer revenge" has never seemed so apt.
I'm feeling very scouse today, which wouldn't get past the censoring programme, so I'll content myself with saying this: I'm fed up with playing small. Now I'm debt free, I'm going to join the monthly challenges for £10 a day again, I'm going to push forward at clearing my *life* of clutter, not just the house, and I'm going to take the money thats on offer via the trading, and I'm going to [strike]change[/strike] improve the luck I'm making for myself. I've not done badly - I'm going to do a hell of a lot more. I'm simply not putting up with this any longer.
So there, world
I'm just catching up and got as far as this - you girl go!!!!!!!!
((((off to read the rest now))))))0 -
Thanks Squizz - I've still got Paul's section of the concert playing in the background, but I'll look at it later, ta!
Pippajo - yep, I was very angry that day  I shall be using it to focus again soon, I'm sort of having a day off today, I can't concentrate properly - for instance, when I got home at 1am last night, I popped out to water the plants  they're okay, thankfully, after the hottest day of the year.
But that anger, yep, its there - I guess as a teenager I used it in protests and in rebelling, which never achieved anything really. Now, I can use it constructively, and I will  thats what does it.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
yes Anger is no good pent up inside of you so best released constructively0
