Morning Fay! Its funny, I don't think of myself as a hard worker - I get that feedback, in RL as well ... weird. The chairs are out the back, but I *have* been sitting on the front step - its about fifteen feet above the pavement, and only mothers and schoolchildren and dogwalkers pass along anyway, so its not as odd as it sounds.
I forgot to answer El's question about sugar - yesterday was only the first dayas I had two Snickers bars in the house
:o it was okay, being the first day - my body wanted vegetables, but I didn't, if that makes sense
I can be very strange
I thought I was working on the trading this morning, but turns out I'm not - I think I have to accept that after a day like yesterday, with such a late finish, even if I'm up in time, I just don't have that much concentration in me. I think I'm going to have a half caff, and take it from there.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
my body does the same kc ... and sometimes it is the opposite way round .... wonder if anything can be done about that?
you sound as if you are physically and mentally shattered ... you will need a good rest once you move ...0 -
you should pop on up to scotland ... we could do some gently walking0

Thats nice, El, thank you! I'm not sure, tho, that a walking holiday of any sort would qualify as a real rest for me right now2023: the year I get to buy a car0

well it would be a walk to the pub .. a walk to the park to have a picnic ... a walk to the pictures etc etc0

You certainly got me thinking tho. This

is a place I've been to twice.... on a taster week each time. There's one trip out, usually, to local Arab hill villages - me and two other people got off halfway, and climbed over the intervening mountain so we could visit the local Buddhist monastery, made from an old finca, they'd converted the old threshing floor to a meditation/patio type area. Yoga on the roof at 6am, with a view of the Andalucian mountains. A walk into the local village in the evening to the ice cream parlour. And its own swimming pool, with make your own tea and coffee right by it. And freshly made veggie food. Sigh .......
Crosspost! Okay, thats different2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
i think i would choose the andalucian mountains any day over a walk to a pub ...
it sounds just heavenly to me .. and exactly the type of holiday i love
just read the advert I WANNA GO THERE I WANNA GO THERE0 -
It really is gorgeous. The rooms are round a separate little pool, not the swimming pool, and one time I was there, it was full of bullfrogs .... breeding!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Don't suppose you fancy housesitting tomatoes? No pools or bullfrogs though.

No, seriously, I could be a housesitter! No big spiders tho
but I'd love to watch over somebody's chickens!
Fay, a question for you - you know that little volunteer fennel plant I discovered t'other day? I wasn't looking hard enough - there's half a dozen of them! I'm not going to pot them up right now - they're really, really small. I'll protect them with a bit more soil, and some water, and leave them for now. Any idea how big they should be before I put them into pots?
And I've realised where they've come from - there's a set of steps just near the mummy fennel plant, and I gave them a good sweep last month, and the babies are sitting where I deposited the sweepings - they must have been in there, and germinated with the activity. Hurray!2023: the year I get to buy a car0
