You certainly got me thinking tho. This

is a place I've been to twice.... on a taster week each time. There's one trip out, usually, to local Arab hill villages - me and two other people got off halfway, and climbed over the intervening mountain so we could visit the local Buddhist monastery, made from an old finca, they'd converted the old threshing floor to a meditation/patio type area. Yoga on the roof at 6am, with a view of the Andalucian mountains. A walk into the local village in the evening to the ice cream parlour. And its own swimming pool, with make your own tea and coffee right by it. And freshly made veggie food. Sigh .......

    Crosspost! Okay, thats different :)

i think i would choose the andalucian mountains any day over a walk to a pub ...

it sounds just heavenly to me .. and exactly the type of holiday i love

just read the advert I WANNA GO THERE I WANNA GO THERE

I went there last year on a working holiday - cost only £250 plus airfares, it was the best holiday I've ever had. Am thinking of booking to go tree planting in November this year. People are just so lovely, can't believe you've been too!

And as for walking, am off to Crosby/Formby at the weekend to get some fresh air, not quite the white villages of the Alpujarras.

I went there last year on a working holiday - cost only £250 plus airfares, it was the best holiday I've ever had. Am thinking of booking to go tree planting in November this year. People are just so lovely, can't believe you've been too!

Oh wow! That really is amazing :j:j:j Its like living in The Celestine Prophecy when that sort of "coincidence" happens.

Lovely place. I'm not sure I'm up to treeplanting - I saw it on the site, and it says 4 - 5 hours a day, phew - but I'd love to. So pleased you like it too!

And Crosby and Formby are great places to walk in - I've been down to the beach - by the lifeboat station, is it? - quite a few times now, and of course the Squirrel Reserve is glorious. When my brother comes over from mid Lancashire, he takes my mum and me up to a part of the beach near Southport - where the windsurfers play. We've sat in the car and watched them for nearly an hour, its amazing stuff. Last time, there were two horses got loose from their riders, and they were running up and down in front of us for about 15 minutes, it was wild. Almost literally!

Hope you have a great time there.

Morning! Boy, I was tired yesterday - in taking on two mystery shops to let them pay my busfare into town, I forgot you actually have to *do* them :o so that when I posted yesterday evening, I'd literally just finished inputting, which meant I had *no* evening :( ah well, it was nice to come on here and find the posts.

Today ... erm, not much dfw really - I'm off to my sister's in about 15 minutes, she'll have a garden designer with her too when I get there, so that'll be really interesting.

I'm 200 points from payout with ipo ints/ma xi miles - that'll be £20 of vouchers for Asda, I never want any of the fiddly bits they offer. I must look at Toluna too, it was Fay reminded me I have points on there.

I took some more stuff to a charity shop yesterday - books I had on Amazon where there are about 50 for sale already, and I'm charging a price that will cover postage - sometimes I think some of these big firms that charge a price that *must* lose them money are a bit dodgy - I suppose I shouldn't write anything down, but it does make you wonder.... hey ho, it'll be less to shift when I come to pack up and go, thats the important thing.

I hope everyone has a good day - I'll be thinking of those weeks in Cortijo Romero

Morning! It was great - I was *completely* shattered when I got in - I dropped in to Wol's, my sis drove me, to take her back some SF books she'd lent to me, had a very quick cuppa, then got the bus back to HH - missed the train by seconds, and took it as a sign that the universe wanted me to buy potatoes :D so went to Sainsbug, and bought 5kg of tatties for £2, and an offer on fresh broccoli as well, v happy. Home at 6.30, tatties steaming, rooted stuff from my sister put into the garden with a bit of soil chucked over them for the night, did my phone call to my mum, and absolutely sank into the floor :o

Today, much quieter day - I'd fall off my perch if I had to go out again, so I'm very glad a local friend cancelled cos of work pressure :o Today will be a garden day - potting things up, weeding things, that sort of stuff.

And I keep forgetting to say - I have bids on 3 items on ebay! Never sold anything on ebay before, just Amazon, and one of them is a *very* old theatre programme from 1980, and one of the comics has 2 watchers!!! I can understand how it might get addictive :D
