Thanks guys! No, Taxi, the DVDs aren't here - I've only had the box about a month, and never opened it before. I'll keep it a few days, in case the buyer decides he wants it anyway for a fiver or something, and then its to the charity shop it goes, with a big sticker on!

Families are complicated - when the trauma is only in your mum's generation, that might be too difficult to work with - I know its raised some very difficult issues in mine, which as a teenager, of course, I didn't even know about, and was unaware of the heartache involved even when I did get to know.

Fay - thanks - the listings can take a while, but they're worth it, on the whole.

I just got a mystery shop - everything unidentified on here, of course - but, its for a grocery delivery from a supermarket! How cool is that! And even the delivery charge is reimbursed

Hi KC just catching up, hope youre neighbour is ok and hopefully better now.
I love the family tree thing and all the exciting things you find out, especially the jobs they did and where they lived etc. Ive been hooked for years and dont think I will ever stop. The great thing is you can pick it up and put it down whenever you like, a great hobby, and even better now most things are on line.
Well done on the mystery shop too.:T

Thats *so* true, isn't it! That great great grandfather of mine, who says he was born in Dublin - he worked on the transatlantic steamers for years, then settled in America, fought in the Spanish American War, and we think he died when the Prohibition-era whiskey still he was working on blew up ....quite a bloke.

Yep, I was chuffed with that! Just been out to post the Amazon book I *did* have - honestly, queuing for a long time is like being in an episode of EastEnders (I watched it over Christmas at my sister's). Amazing stuff :rotfl:

I feel really frazzled right now, kind of overwhelmed. Its partly being tired (I hate having clients till 9.30 at night, even at home, couldn't sleep properly afterwards) partly having a *must* do list, not a *to do* list. The must dos are:
    - prepare and send off another Amazon sale.
    - do the paperwork for a new session, which is going to be a really, really difficult one.
    - have a talk with my partner, about some unpleasant fallout from the room thingy last week.
    - send off mum's birthday card.
    - be here for the supermarket delivery and fill in the online details afterward.
    - email friend I'm hoping to see on Thursday - difficult conversation.
    - check out a weird "verbal text" I got to my landline last night at 11.15 - I know what I think it is, but I have to check. At the time, of course, I thought my mum had died or something, with a phone call at that time.

None of its **bad**, but quite a lot of it is really difficult. And there's so much thats really fairly essential to do today, in so many different areas, I hate it.
