This is a good price for a 14kw patio heater.. I bought one (not lidl/aldi) earlier this years and cant wait for the summer to come, so I can enjoy my bbq into the late hours.
How ironic that a couple of posters have bellyached about global warming and then you make the very good point about waiting for summer to come so that you can........er, use a 14kw patio heater to stay warm in the summer!
The planet ain't warming up people, global warming is a myth put about by people with sad, empty lives who need a cause to cling onto to justify their miserable existences.
Rant over.............yes, it's an excellent price for a 14kw heater. You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take - Wayne Gretzky
Any advice that you receive from me is worth exactly what you paid for it. Not a penny more or a penny less.0 -
Hmm - strange how you know enough facts to call me a recluse and yet I don't know even enough to encourage people not to buy patio heaters on a thread promoting them! :rotfl:natanddan1 wrote:Here we go again, another recluse ...
before you start preaching make sure you know the full facts.
And don't the two go in hand? Have you worked out how much these things cost to run? This is a site for moneysaving not a site for activistsTime is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -
Well, nice to see you are the lone voice agreeing with George Bush... oh, wait a minute, even he is admitting that the planet is warming up now! Interesting how you know better than the overwhelming weight of scientific opinion from all over the world - what's your secret?:Dchuckles1066 wrote:The planet ain't warming up peopleTime is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -

Mmmm 3 words come to mind - GET A LIFE - Think you need to chill out and not take things too seriously. There are chat forums to vent your opinions on global warming on MSE. This forum is for the people who are interested in money saving and not listening to others bleating on about global warming.0 -

The fact that George Bush has leant his weight to the global warming theory should have sunk it without trace? The guy's an idiot
My "secret" is an education.
An education that has taught me that 600 years ago, it was possible to grow grapes naturally at this longtitude and latitude of the planet. Now, do you think you could grow grapes naturally in the UK in 2006?
No you couldn't.
I think you'll find that, far from warming up, the planet is actually cooling down.
Anyway, this conversation is inappropriate for this forum. It's about money saving, thanks to the OP, I've just bought two :beer:You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take - Wayne Gretzky

Well said, most concise, to the point, post this month :T
These heaters are great for extending your garden enjoyment in what is already quite a short summer compared to our european neighbours, £99 is also a fair old privce which makes it quite affordable, worth every penny0 -

cheers for that, no disrepect to the poster but i think it needed to be said.
i think anything that promotes the spending of more time in the garden instead of behind a tv etc is worth every penny.0 -
good point and one that's been overlooked.
All you ever read about is how much time kids spend in front of the tv, x-box, Playstation, internet etc and how fat they're getting..........these things allow them to spend time running around in the garden when ordinarilly they'd be indoors.
As was said, summers in the UK are ludicrously short (the nights start getting darker in less than 7 weeks and we haven't even begun getting decent weather yet).
These heaters are a bloody marvel! You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take - Wayne Gretzky

We got one last year and it nearly doubled the lengh of our summer in the garden, they were excellent when we had a BBQ and firework in Novemeber.
Same again this year me thinks!!0
