There's a filling station in Marlborough that has always had outrageously priced fuel. Currently it proudly declares its 'New Low Prices' which are 116.9 for unleaded and 118.9 for diesel. It's always busy, god knows why?

There is a garage near me charging the same prices !!!!!
They run loads of 'credit' accounts I think that is why they are busy.
Local HGV's and tradesment use them.......tho god knows why when you can get more credit with a credit card than from them at their ludicrous prices.

    You may find this helpful:

I get a weekly email from petrolprices.com listing my 5 cheapest fuel stations closest to home, and 5 closest to work.

Unfortunately it never (or only very rarely) lists the cheapest station in my area.

If they are using fuel cards they may not be paying pump prices.

I find that my car always seems to drink petrol from Tescos!

I can usually get about 500 miles off a full tank (about between 45 and 55 mpg) but on Tescos its no where near that.

Its probably just me but it is strange

Nope it's not just you! I've stopped using Tesco for that reason. It's not that much cheaper than my local Esso or BP but my mpg plummets when using Tesco kack.

Agreed, some people have very short memories. I avoid Tesco fuel like the plague.
me too. you can tell it's cheap and poor quality just from the smell.. when you've been running on tesco fuel for a few miles, you get that familiar whiff of boiled urine. anyone else noticed that?
  • You get what you pay for with petrol. There is no doubt that the quality of fuel from say Shell is better than that from Asda and Tesco so what you save at the pump you lose in less MPG

Not only are Tesco taking the p1ss with their fuel prices, they are recycling it as screenwash. That's quite MSE really;).

if you stop drinking the screenwash then your pi55 will smell different.:rotfl:
    ...work permit granted!
  • My screenwash smelt like rancid Armadillo vomit. So much so, that the first time I used it- stuck in traffic- I almost had to abandon the car & throw up at the side of the road. Turns out screen wash can "go off"
