Oh and I hope you realise once your Home bargains opens I'll be asking for heaps of fairy visits!! they sometimes have good bargains and my dad was saying there is one going in where Woolies was.
no prob! you could even come for a visit!!!
how did you know ther was a HB going in where woolies was???
What's for you won't go past you
  • Pfft!!! I though I would have heard from hubby by know, just to let me know he's ok. He's gone to Leeds to watch Liverpool play in the carling cup :/ Ah well, he can do the late feed, whatever time he gets in :p

We've had a sleepy day today, so I've tried to keep Liam up so he'll hopefully sleep for a good length again tonight:) He's currently watching TV lying on the rug..actaully scrap that, I think I hear sleeping noises.

Carla- Stews, spag bol, chilli's - all good in the slow cooker :D

ETA: whoever mentioned smiling before dropping off to sleep, I've notice Liam doing this too, I love it!
  • Caz my dad gets the gazzette sent to him so he'll have read it in there. My folks lived in Glenrothes b4 they moved up here. When he told me I said oh Caz'll be happy, DH was like whose that and then looked again and said "oh and forum friend" lol

  • I meant to mention my super bargain earlier... I got the mega box of pampers from Asda... and used a £2 off voucher I got through the post... So 144 size 3s for £10... That's less than 7p a nappy!

For someone that uses washables, I seem to have an awful lot of nappies in the cupboard!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

bit of a random post from me, just typed a load of random things really  been off doing shoppings so have only caught up on every other page so i wouldnt miss too much :rotfl: nosy, me? got myself a nice top/dress to wear with leggings out for drinkies on saturday and to a christening, some of primarks finest bridget jones magic knickers and a new pair of jeans, and a black cardi! score! i thoroughly recommend primark magic knickers, i got some that come up to my bra and they are really comfy. not as pulling-in as some of the others you can get, but i can breathe in these and i couldnt in the m+s ones :rotfl:

going back to what you were talking about this morning, another vote for ashton and parsons teething powders here! when seth is in a rage they seem to soothe instantly. havent really used them for their proper purpose as yet but they do help him relax and go to sleep if he's stropping :o

how do you make eggy bread  i had it when i was little and loved it!

i want to make curry queens curry stuff, it looks awesome! but a little too much hassle for me i think :o

i thoroughly reccommend medicine dummies!! you fill the end up with calpol or whatever and then they suck the meds out. amazing thing, whoever actually invented them needs a medal!!

big welcome and even bigger hugs for jillie :grouphug:

do you think i should take seth to the doctor? he's had a cough for a few days, doesnt seem terrible in itself just a little chesty, but i'm a bit concerned cos theres history of athsma and bronchitis in both mine and OHs parents? would i be wasting precious  nhs resources if i took him?

i have a roast in the oven :j my first roast i've ever cooked completely on my own :rotfl: oh dear!!

Well Alex has been asleep in his moses basket since 7.25 and we haven't heard a peep! He's been getting better at going to sleep night by night since the weekend, which is a good job because DH had the snip on Friday and hasn't been able to help with the kids (no lifting). Tonight he had a feed and then conked out! It's getting earlier each night so hopefully he'll be going to bed at 7pm consistently soon, leaving time to bath Imogen and put her to bed by 7.30pm.

Jillie - haven't read back but hugs if you need them honey.
Bailey - hello stranger! Was only thinking about you the other day. Are we the only original members left? SB and Susan C were fairly early too and they are still around also.

Elle - strike sounds like a fab idea. When Imogen was little I used to have a night off and sleep in the spare room. Not sure what your decorating/furnishing is up to, but I'd be tempted to tell him he knows where the milk, bottles and steriliser are and you'll see him in the morning ;-)

I remember someone was asking about digital cameras for kids a while ago? We bought one off ebay today, a Kid Tough (fisher Price) one for £35 inc postage. RRP is £50 so are dead pleased with that bargain. It's going away for Xmas.

Apparently the government has scrapped plans to increase the paid part of maternity leave to twelve months in favour of making up to six months of the leave transferable to the dad.

Fingers crossed! :p works for me! that is if it happens in time

In all honesty, would be amaaaaazing for me if it came in soon, as OH doesn't work and therefore no maternity pay. I can see that it is probably not great for a lot of mums though

Jillie, welcome and I can only echo what others have said. Terribly sorry about your SIL, and if you can keep the two very different and separate things apart in your (and OH's) mind, you'll benefit. Good luck, the first weeks are stressful at the best of times.

Oh yes - I nicknamed him Guzzler Boy :rotfl:

He was on 90ml but I upped it to 120ml on Tuesday last week so upping it again would be 150ml

He drinks the whole 120ml I would say 95% of the time.

Alex is 10 weeks and takes 7oz (I think that's 210ml) at the two bottle feeds he has. I BF him the other 4. We've just put him on hungry baby milk and he still drains the bottles.

Last night he had a feed at 10.30pm (bottle), then 4.30am (BF) but woke up with his dry cough at 6ish so had another little feed and then went until 10.30am. It's only his 2nd night on hungry milk so I'm pleased he did pretty much 6 hours :T

Jillie - just read the reason why you need hugs. Hope you're doing okay hon. :grouphug: Please just keep talking to us as much or as little as you need. I find it a lot easier than talking IRL.

    Sami - where's my Farmville gift?! ;)
