  • I was worried yesterday Caitlyn hadn't fed enough... She obviously felt my concerns and remedied the situation by waking at 3 and 6 for feeds...

She's been in the jumperoo again this morning and while I was in the kitchen making Aimee's porridge, all I could hear was the pair of them properly laughing together... Caitlyn's not really a laugher so it was very sweet... She loves her big sister soooooooooooooo much!:grinheart

Although the drawback of that is I'v popped her in the swing to see if she'll relax enough to sleep and Aimee keeps going to chat to her....

My hubby's doing overtime again today... It's nice he's doing it for the family... Well... For a new shed so we can get the dining room back at least... But I don't half miss [STRIKE]my Saturday morning lie in[/STRIKE] him...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Em I've got one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Family-Stewie-Pocket-Voice-Chain/dp/B000B91O14
We used to have little 'wars' at work (we did very little actual work at one particular company I 'worked' at!) some of the guys had other 'in my pocket' things like Mr T.
We also has promotional stress balls that spent most of their time being lobbed around the office when you were on an important call! :rotfl: no wonder it went under!

    morning

no hope of catching up but read the last 10 pages!
Had a lovely evening curled up on the sofa reading a book last night, decided to stay up until 1am to feed Jack rather than go to bed, thinking I'll be up again at 5am and then 8 or 9.

But oh no! Mr Man decided to be a PITA - woke up like clockwork and had one bottle at 1am. Put him down at about 1.45am but he was having none of it - ended up having another half bottle @ 2.30am and then another full bottle at 4am

I've only just increased his bottles to 120ml!!!

Monday - can we leave any fondling until after Mr Glam is out of the area? Don't want him getting any ideas that I'm part of a weird boobie fondling group!
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

    Speedy Chinese
For a quick, filling alternative to your Friday night takeaway, rustle up your own Chinese delights by heating some Fry Light in a wok, adding some chopped chicken or prawns, spring onions, red chilli, finely chopped ginger and crushed garlic, fry for a couple of minutes, then throw in a pack of mixed stir-fry veg from the supermarket. If you’re feeling adventurous, add other oriental delights like water chestnuts or lychees! Add lots of Soy sauce to taste, cook for 3 or 4 minutes and serve on a mound of boiled egg noodles.

    Chicken cow mein
    Serves: 4
    Syns per serving:
1½ Syns on Green*, 7½ Syns on Original, Free on Extra Easy
*Add 6 Syns if not using chicken as a Healthy Extra
    150g packet dried egg noodles
    3 garlic cloves
    4 spring onions
    2 carrots
    113g/4oz mangetout
    113g/4oz mushrooms
    1 red pepper
    4 cooked chicken breasts
    Fry Light
1 tsp finely grated root ginger
    4 tbsp soy sauce
85ml/3fl oz chicken stock made with Bovril
    142g/5oz beansprouts
Salt and freshly ground black pepper

    1. Cook the noodles according to the packet instructions, drain and set aside.
    2. Meanwhile prepare the ingredients: finely grate the garlic; slice the spring onions; cut the carrots into matchsticks; halve the mange tout lengthways; halve the mushrooms; deseed and thinly slice the pepper; roughly shred the chicken.
    3. Heat a frying pan sprayed with Fry Light, add the ginger, garlic and spring onions and fry for 2-3 minutes.
    4. Add the soy sauce, chicken stock, carrots, mangetout, mushrooms, red pepper and beansprouts and stir fry for a further 3-4 minutes. Add the chicken and noodles, toss together and heat through. Season well and serve immediately.

    Chicken satay

    Serves: 4
    Syns per serving:
3 Syns on Original, Extra Easy and Green*
*Add 6 Syns if not using chicken as a Healthy Extra on Green

    For the satay chicken:
    454g diced chicken breast
    2 tbsp dark soy sauce
    1 tbsp sweetener
    1 garlic clove, crushed
    1 tsp ground cumin
    Fry Light
    Satay/kebab skewers
    For the sauce:
3 tbsp reduced fat peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
    120ml water
    ½ garlic clove, crushed
    1 tbsp sweetener
    1 tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp very low fat fromage frais

    1. Place the diced chicken into a dish or bowl. Mix all the marinade ingredients together and pour over the chicken. Cover and marinade in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
    2. Preheat the oven to 180ºC/350ºF/Gas 4. Drain the chicken, then skewer the chunks onto the kebab sticks (usually 3-4 pieces per stick)
    3. Place on a baking tray, spray with Fry Light and cook for 15-20 minutes until chicken is cooked.
    4. Whilst the chicken is cooking, make the sauce by mixing the peanut butter, water and garlic together in a pan over a low heat. Heat until the sauce begins to thicken slightly, but don't worry if it seems runny as it will thicken as it cools.

    chilli beef noodles

    Serves: 4
    Syns per serving:
Free on Extra Easy and Green*
*Add 6 Syns if not using steak as a Healthy Extra ‘b’ choice

12oz/340g sirloin steak, all visible fat removed
    1 tbsp soy sauce
    ½ tsp crushed dried chillies
½ red, yellow and green pepper
    1 carrot
    300g pack dried egg noodles
    Fry Light

    1. Prepare the stir-fry ingredients: cut the steak into strips, place in a bowl with the soy sauce and crushed chillies and marinate in the fridge for at least 10 minutes; slice the peppers and carrot; cook the noodles according to packet instructions, drain and
    set aside.
    2. Heat a wok sprayed with Fry Light and stir-fry in soy sauce and chillies for 2-3 minutes. Add the peppers and carrot and continue frying until softened. Add the noodles, heat through and serve.
Tip: You could replace the steak with 1lb/454g chicken or 1lb/454g pork. Ensure the meat is thoroughly cooked before adding the vegetables (the Syns remain the same).
