He is generally a good fellow - he doesn't speak yet much only few odd words and even then only when he feels like it. All health people keep saying why doesnt he talk blah blah blah, they checked his hearing and said its fine so he must just be a lazy boy. That was about 6 months ago. Now they keep mentioning it but not actually doing anything?

I'm not overally worried as a)all children are different b)im trying to encourage him but I don't want to push him too much! They make you feel like poo about it though don't they???? ;)

Anyone have any experience of this?????
I don't think Alice was putting words together particularly (except for words that come together already like "all gone") before she was around two. It was just single words up till then and then she suddenly took off over the last six months. According to this, boys are more likely to be late talkers and the majority of late talkers catch up in the long run.

I'm not sure if her LO is average or not but her memory wasn't anything like Chris's, she asked me my name about 20times  Chris can remember your name if he only met you once and hasn't seen you for 3 weeks
Or maybe she couldn't think of anything else to say or liked the repetition? I just realised at lunch time that Alice might still be able to remember as an adult things which happen now. She pointed out Europe on our world map and asked me where Germany is. She then started talking about the people we saw on Saturday (who she's previously never met) who come from Germany (and have German names) and even knew that we'd seen them on Saturday. She wasn't entirely accurate though as she thought they'd come in the car and then when I said they'd come on the train she said, "Uncle Gerhard lives on the train." followed by, "Daddy comes from Germany." and, "Daddy lives in the van."

I was suprised Keira came out with blue eyes and brown hair as the asian gene is dominant isn't it? We totally thought she'd have brown eyes and wiry black hair like OH!

I just puked, my mouth tastes ming now, but it's bad to brush straight after ur sick, my dentist told me when I had hypertension spewing whilst preggo. Not that my teeth are great or anything. Better than half the mums at nursery though, if I had shrivvled brown teeth, I'd not be smiling that's for sure!
yes it's dominant but with out going into a massive genetics lesson the simplified reason is that you OH most likely has some non-asian genes in there somewhere and that is the one that Keira got off him :)
have you got mouth wash? its good to use a fluoride one after being sick ;) I used to only manage to brush my teeth at lunch time when pg but would always use mouthwash first thing (after I'd chucked up obviously!)

Oops.. supposedly to be tidying but Rhys just fell asleep on me! :p

I've just been looking on the local classified ads and found a refurbished/serviced Dyson for £40. Had a look at the sellers other items and they have loads of PS3s and DSs for sale.. I'm suspicious. Should I be?
  • Gutted, had to throw away 4oz of spoiled EBM :( It smelt a little odd, so I tasted it and proceeded to throw up! Don't think LO would have liked that! Stupid, stupid me, I forgot it was in the fridge!

Am feeling a little better, went on exercise bike and walked to see friends. Bit too knackered to feel sad.

  • Dont mean to sound rude, but are your kids mixed?
I'm mixed, my kids are whiter than the driven snow!
I was pretty pale as a child and still am in comparison to my cousins, and I used to be ginge!

Thanks Susan, I hadn't thought of that  she did use it as her conversation starter for everyone she spoke to.
