i went to see my work friend today who is having medical problems and has jut been told she needed to be tested for hepatitis c as one of the tattoos she had done does not look good plus the amount shes had as well .. the one that doesnt look good was done by the same place i got mine done and my "mate" (the one i complain alot about) done and the guy who did my work mates did my "mate" so i texted her to tell her and shes got on the defence saying theres no way this that and the other which she does have a point but im only repeating what the doc said to my work mate ... im so annoyed as i felt she was taking it as a personal hit against her ............... i tell you what im keeping my gob shut til after philips birthday so he has a good one (luckily its on the 26th so next weekend) and ive got a few words for her ... like its funny she says shes to busy to see us as shes cleaning her house next thing theres pics of her at her friend which is fair enough but all she had to say is she dont wanna come over im so fed up of complaining about the same damn girl and im guess your all fed up of hearing about it ... ever since she got back friend with some silly little moo that has done so many things to her ive lost bl00dy count yet after ive sat there helped her through her problems her break and the fact that her ex f***ed up my birthday and ive said nothing ... the only thing i said was when she broke up with her ex within a week on her facebook she was saying she was in a new relationship and i said it may look bad on her and people (NOT ME BUT PEOPLE) might think shes wh0ring it abit (i did actually in those words say it but im a blunt person) thats it but im sick of this after forgiving her being there for her and listening to her go on about the silly moo who shes friends with now who not 2 months ago was swearing like a soldier but she was suppose to be kicked off her uni course but used her abortion as an excuse to be able to stay on it (she said "the loss of her baby" sorry you didnt lose it you killed it) ....................... yet im the one she ignores and treats as f***ing second rate im so fed up of being stabbed in the back ..............

    Elle :( :grouphug:

I am so sorry to hear that. Fingers crossed that there is no big drama and further MRI will show good things :( I really feel for you and I am sure we all do. My thoughts are with you and poor tiny Rhys, who is utterly wonderful and adorable even if he is not well :(
I hope OH will be home soon for you.

Elle - exactly what Bruno said, seconded. (He has a much better way with words than me!)
Did they say when the scan is likely to be?

    hi tia xx

tell away what you think they are looking for, I have been trying to find out via google all afternoon with no luck !!

thank you for booking your smear :)

We were told to look out for lip trembling as it could be a sign of epilepsy which seems to go hand in hand with CP, not the black out type, it's a loss of muscle control type (can't remember exactly) but then it is also quite normal for babies to do it anyway. In saying that DS2 did have the tremble but it's never went any further and little moments of the arm going everywhere, he has spasticity in his muscles so they are too tight, except his hand, he has 'swan fingers' that bend back and very low tone).

    I feel sick :(

Brain scan results show things have gotten worse and Rhys now has to have another MRI scan under general anaesthic. Also discovered that we should have been told to stop one of his medications but we never told and that we now have to restart it at a smaller dose, so we've been giving him the higher dose all this time.

Have left a message for the paediatrican to phone me.

I'm shaking and teary.. luckily Rhys is asleep on my shoulder so I can hug him tight.

Awww sweetheart, huge (((hugs))). Sounds very scary but you, your DH and that little Rhys are strong folk and you will get through this. Lots and lots of positive vibes will be headinng your way when they are needed.

Just spoke to the paediatrician - amazed she phoned me back so soon!

She said it might be a lab error that the results have come back as they have, bearing in mind he's been on that med all the time. She said to keep him on the same dose as he's always been on and we'll see what the blood test on Saturday says. It's got to be a needle in the back of his hand by a registrar job so we've got to take him into the hospital to get it done.

Asked how long the scan would be and it depends on the availablility of one bloke - he's the only one who'll do it on a baby as small as Rhys, noone else at our hospital would dare touch him!

Rhys is now 7lb 10oz btw, gain of 4.5oz in a week :)

    Thankyou everyone xx
Caz, congrats on the house - you deserve it! :D

Oh Elle :( Don't panic, he is coming along really well and you know that already! What does the medication do that he is meant to be having less of?

    I HAVE A HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Woohoo, that is fab news :) I'm glad you will all be ok. Do you have moving plans already?

We had a lovely time at rhyme time today, and got the bits we needed from the shops too. Izzy is now 18lb 1oz, so has put on 2oz in 2 weeks, which isn't too bad really. HV didn't seem too concerned about the milk thing. She said it is common for babies to self wean around now, and she hadn't heard of nursing strikes. Which proves that (on some things at least) [strike]I have[/strike] Weezl/Krystal have done more research than the health visitors on these things. I don't know why I bother asking them really ;)
