true enough that you never know how far the walk is, and obviously i dont blame them one bit if its a long walk - 2 is quite young to expect them to walk everywhere anyway! its a personal bug bear of mine cos a "friend" of mine (i've mentioned her before, her 3 year old starts school fairly soon and wont talk to anyone except her mum still cos shes sheltered her so much) still shoves her in a buggy all the time, for example to go to the park where she will be running round anyway? and to the corner shop when she can see it from her house!!

i used to live opposite a school, and some of the kids used to get picked up and put in their buggies  and i often see mums wandering round shops with a baby in a buggy, sometimes having a full blown conversation with them!

has anyone got some of those foam type floor puzzle tile things? my friend went to stay with someone at the weekend and said they were good for their LO, they took him for a picnic and laid him on them and she said he can crawl on them but not on normal flooring so i was thinking of getting some? they arent cheap though so i need more recommendations before i'll shell out for them :rotfl:

its my personal opinion of if they can walk then do so i hate seeing kid squished in to a buggy just coz they cant be bothered to have there kids walk ... then people wonder why there so many lazy over weight kids when a 5 year old is jammed in to a buggy eating sweets ... what example is that setting x

You star! That's exactly it...£39.95 though eeeek. How long will he get use out of it for? Need to try and justify that cost. Will he still use it even when he can sit himself and not need supporting? I guess so, only when he starts moving around crawling etc and not sitting still will it not get used so much. Someone remind me what age roughly the crawling starts...

i cant stand seeing a child of an age that is completely capable of walking sitting in a pushchair... to me it smacks of laziness on the parents part - easier to shove them in there and forget about them while they get on with wandering round new look
I figure everyone makes different choices and I don't have the inside information about why someone is using a puschair anyway (such as parent or child may have an injury or disability). I do think that unless there are particular reasons, children of a certain age shouldn't still be using a pushchair but that is just my opinion.

Haven't got any but I saw some in B&Q awhile ago and they were about a tenner for 4 sections which seemed quite good.
