grr bl00dy health visitor just left me a voicemail saying shes going to be popping in tomorrow cos i've just moved to the area... riiiiight... i moved 2 months ago now and i only moved 5 mins down the road i rang back and told her it wasnt convenient and i dont want her to visit cos we have no issues and shes not needed here and she said in quite a nasty tone that if i dont let her in she will be looking to "move things forward" whatever that means because of our recent hospital visit :mad:
i told her to check with the clinic as he was weighed yesterday, therefore naked and any bruises etc would have been on show, and we had a chat with the volunteers and HV while we were waiting, but no, thats not enough. if thats the way she wants to be, i'm going to ask why she hasnt bothered to get in touch since the 10 day visit and why i got a letter the week i moved saying i was going to have a phone call or a visit that she hasnt bothered to give me for 2 months until its suitable for her. two can play this game.

Well I'm back
Dylan now weighs 13lb exactly and is 64cm long !! So still just in the middle for weight and the 75th line for height !! He has dropped slightly in weight, but that is obviously because he isnt keeping all his milk down. She has said it sounds like silent reflux and has told me to take him off the easy digest milk, go to Actimil 2 and has given him Gavison, poor wee mite

He screamed after his jabs, and the poor wee girl who only looked about 16 or 17 in with the MW while we were there looked petrified !!

Oh also, while I was there she had a load of bounty weaning bags there and said that she was told to open the 1st lot as there was a free can of coke and our surgery wouldnt allow it to be given out, so she packed everything into one bag and gave me them all !! And my bounty pack too Result !!

:eek: Do the Drs tell the HV when you move or are you supposed to tell them yourself separately? (We haven't told ours yet because we're waiting for the GP to do a report for OH's income protection and changing GP would complicate things.)

Ahhhh I nearly forgot to tell you all
Remember we were told 9 weeks for the waiting list for the physio?? Well When I got in earlier, the physio phoned and said that Dylan had an urgent referral due to un-diagnosis and there was a cancellation tomorrow morning at 9.15 ! How cool is that ???

Hola! Iwas gonna comment on something else but on iPod and forgot.
SM obviously there are lazy parents that use buggies for older ones but it's not always obvious when a child is different.
Susan I'd only be offended if you agreed with Alice IYSWIM.
Don't tell hubby but chris hardly goes in his seat on the pram now, he likes to walk like a big boy he was really excited today because sure start have those mini toilets and he could use it without help
I just felt my let down going in the car and rembered I forgot to change my breast pads that were full :doh: arrived at mums with a wet patch on one side and discovered there's non in my bag! So I've had to cut a sainitry towel in half :rotfl:

i think they must do susan. i believe they're based in the same building. OH has just informed me that he is pleased he will be around in case i go for her or something :rotfl:
i really cant stand her, she came to see me when i was still PG and she was SO up herself i just gave her one word answers in the hope she'd booger off quicker, she also really pressed me to say OH is abusing me to the point where i felt i was giving the wrong answer when i said he wasnt!!

very cool mm, I'm really pleased

emlou, I'm so :mad: about what the HV said. I genuinely think it is complaint worthy, since her tone and manner were rude but also she has just admitted to using specious excuses to visit women to check if there is harm to their children caused at home.

I strongly object to HVs believing this is their remit.

Susan HV are 'linked' to Gp surgeries so when you join a new one they would generally inform the HV team that they have a new patient that's under 5yrs
