angela, so sorry about the traumatic time you had with rose. I hope you have all the support you need in talking it through and feeling ok. But also please do tell us more about it? There's evidence that story-telling acts in place of dream processing of traumatic events in new mums (who have less time to dream!). Birth story tellers are less likely to get depressed after a traumatic birth.

I agree. And people telling you to just be thankful that your both(all) here safe and sound is like a slap in the face if it didn't go according to plan.

Elle, because he still small there is still time for plagio to develop, which is why she would have asked if you swapped sides. She's just checking ;) But it's also to make sure his neck muscles stay nice and flexable.

    MM, how's Dylans hands?? :D

I got DS2 a chew toy, well a teether this one from boots he seems to like it, not chewed it yet but he will start soon when he gets tired.

Better go get dinner on, spaggy and meatballs I think :D

    Hi tia :D

His hands are getting much better thanks. He isnt griping things yet, but he is opening them al lot more than he was, so we are making definate progress. He has a tilt to his head that he does not seem to want moved though  He used to just turn to one side when he was lying down, but now he tilts to the same side when you hold him up !! It was his neck that the pead was not happy with the tone, so I guess this is it just showing itself a bit more pronounced now. We have been doing all the exercises we have been told, but I will just have to sit and wait for the physio referral to come through :o

How are things with you hun? My nephew has that toy, and it is his fave :D

Hi all - archie is currently having a late soul destroying nap after our first toddler group of the term (since we had colds last week and felt too bad to go) ...now of course he won't go to sleep at 7 tonight so I will get behind with all my washing/dishes/etc/etc.

awwwww tss, it's tricky when something throws your normal pattern! I was a bit in fear of afternoon naps cos the HVs told us that any napping after 5.30 reduced any sleeping at 7.

Fergus might be an anomaly, but he's sometimes slept til 6 and gone down again happily at 7. Fingers crossed Archie might manage it?

I'd like to say it was fun but Archie didn't really enjoy it tbh as he was so tired so I may just stick to morning groups in future so he gets to sleep after lunch.

Elliot also had a late nap today-after fighting it all afternoon although very tired and grumpy. I'm hoping he'll still go to bed at 7 though fingers crossed.

  • Dylan does that every night, he has hs dinner at any time between 4 and 5 pm and stays awake for about and hour or so, then sleeps till 7.30 and has his supper at 8pm and goes straight to bed :) So it can be done :)
