If this works I'm gonna be a VERY happy bunny. If not I think i might be a bit cross for doing it last minute...!!
Need to go down to Hertfordshire for early Tuesday so thought I'd get a hotel. Found one nearby but they only had executive rooms at £95. Quick search and the 4-person exec rooms were on offer elsewhere for £79! woohoo!! (hopefully)
Booked, claim submitted and fingers crossed. Leaving on Monday eve but won't find out til the Americans get in to work - which is about the same time I'm leaving... Hmm... Cutting this a bit fine I think!
If anyone would care to check my booking just for my reassurance I'd be most grateful!

Search for STANSTEAD. One hotel found - check rates. Current only shows two rooms:

AIR CON/DBLE BED/MINI FRIG

If anyone can check then thanks for the reassurance

it also looks as if their dropping their prices when allerted of another site cheaper, the original post here is prime example, that roomnow only costs £38 on the daysinn site
That would be the idea behind why they are giving them away free! Its a scheme so customers can do the research to make sure they are cheaper, and they are "paying" you for doing it by giving you a free room.
They aren't going to leave it higher priced and let someone else do the same deal on them twice!!! lol.
Not had a look myself for rooms, but keep trying. Im sure there is something still there for you.0 -
Its not exactly free no spend required
To book you have to use a credit card
If you must pay for one night to get one free in this way its not exactle a no spend.
More like 2 nights for the price of one
Or have I got it all wrong?IWasLookingBackToSeeIfSheWasLookinBackToSeeIfIWasLookinBackAtHer.....0 -
You have got it wrong.
You do only get one night free, but it is not a condition that you have to spend more than one night there.
I have claimed for a Ramada hotel, but I have been told that even though the terms and conditions are word for word (other than the brand name) Ramada is for usa and Canada only. Days Inn is international.
This is unfortunate as Ramada have some great hotels, in particular Penns Hall!!!
I found I could get both Chester and Edinburgh cheaper, although I only booked one!!
If anyone wants a daysinn, please make a note of the place and date and I will be happy to help you look for a cheaper alternative. There aren't many, but its worth an !/2 hr search, just in case!!ACII and Chartered so now I can focus on learning to play my beautiful Sax. 🎷0 -

I found another site cheaper but claim has so far been rejected
The reason: the other site includes breakfast
So not only is the other site quite a bit cheaper, you also get free breakfast
They will not hold up their end of the bargain because apparently getting breakfast as well is a "package" and not just the room.
I called them in America and got a guy who wouldn't agree with me. I asked to be put through to someone else (i.e. a manager) and was told there was no-one else I could speak to. Finally put through to Supervisors voicemail. I won't hold my breath waiting for her to call me back...0 -
Hi, just to let you all know I had my free room last saturday, and it worked perfectly. Not an eyebrow was raised, and the Days Inn in Nuneaton is really nice! Flat screen TVs! Glad to hear some other people have been able to find deals, and good luck to the rest of you

Got me room - finally!
Booked for July (1 night) in the Days Inn North London.
Found the same room for £3 cheaper and put in my claim almost immediately after I booked up for "real". Thing is, I never got my confirmation email nor a response for the claim.
So 5 days later I phoned up and the room was booked but no claim response made. So they re-issued the claim (and fortunately for them, the website I found the cheaper room on (https://www.laterooms.com) still had cheaper rooms - £8 cheaper now, though!!)
Still heard nothing. So call again 4 days later and they said that no claim had been made!
Grrrr!
But they did it all again (I was firm, but polite) and lo and behold I got an email today saying I had me free room!
So, if you get some difficulties, keep at it. I mean, a free room in London for a few phone calls is well worth it!
So if you have trouble, stick with it. The Americans who answer the phone are usually very polite. That window's cracked on both sides!!0 -
I am trying to contact Days Inn in the UK but the number I have doesn't work: 0800 0280 400.
Does anyone know another number I can try? (I don't want to call the US again)0 -
Was passing through the Leicester forest gate one a few days ago-pretty basic-had a sign saying there was a Police Community Support Officer on Patrol there. This is a great deal but be aware that some of these service areas can be a bit lairy .0
