Is your router plugged into the master socket? Your attenuation is quite high, are you some distance from your local exchange or could it be caused by internal wiring? Is there any LLU presence on your exchange? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

no cable in my area unfortunately, have 3 month credit with a ohell at the moment , due to disconnection, she says that they will be testing a variation of speeds on my line in the next 7 days then i will recieve the max speed available to me at the 9.99 so if in 7 days i still have half a meg i will get me mac code and off to 020
-
oh and the irish lady immedietly confirmed that it was indeed aohell who restricted my to half a meg, dunno why the indian guys couldnt0

If you can get O2 LLU (ie not the £17 Access product) then just migrate to them and don't bother with AOL any more. Unless they swap you off that fixed rate connection you cannot possibly get more than 512kbs.0
-
Why wait just because they have given you a 3 month credit? That's far less than the saving you will make in the first 12 months if you got to the O2 LLU service, which is enabled on your exchange. With mobile discount, 3 months free and £50 Quidco cashback, your total O2 first year cost is just £16.06. AOL @ £9.99 even with 3 months free is £89.91. Saving: £73.85. Oh, and you'll get a decent service too.No free lunch, and no free laptop

go with o2, i've got worse stats than you and have nearly 3mb connection for £7.34 per month, so faster, still unlimited, and less money..
if you went with o2, you'd probably get somewhere like 4mb easily with your stats... and o2 are available on LLU
(the 7.34 is if you have an o2 mobile phone!)0
