Yes, you need to take your card with you. I've been asked to show mine before.

Thanks for the quick response, as I don't have a card I dont think I will bother, I have been to the Times films before, but I think that was before they started saying you needed to take a card I think I just needed to take the page out of the paper.
  • I received a free cinema ticket from Direct Holidays brochure but they sent a Odeon ticket and I needed a Cineworld ticket. Any one want to swap?

Went to see Astroboy at the Printworks today - it was great. They started it 20 minutes early though, so I missed the first 5 minutes getting a coffee. Felt sorry for those coming in at the right time having missed a big chunk.

Not a direct reply to your question as this didn't happen in Manchester. My friend went to a Timesplus screening today in Reading and wasn't asked for the card. It looks like it's hit or miss as to being asked to provide it.

I can't make up my mind where to see The Lovely Bones preview next week. I can either go on Tuesday but will have to travel into Liverpool then travel all the way to Cheshire Oaks. Or wait until Wednesday for the screening at the Odeon but if I am challenged for my Times plus card I'll be sent away as I don't have one. :( Problems, problems, problems.
  • If anyone knows of any screenings and/or codes for the Lovely Bones in Manchester would really really appreciate it :) ...also ive never been to one of these...are the showings ever packed?

They can be full but at other times there are lots of spaces. You just never know. Quite often there is an over allocation of tickets to compensate for no shows and that's when it can all go wrong. In some cases most people will turn up and some may be sent away. It does happen but not often. It is always best to get there at least 30 minutes before start of film i.e. get there for 6pm for a 6.30pm start and that way you should get a seat.

Can't help you with a code or a ticket but I would keep trying the codes in the hope that you manage to get a return, it does happen.
