I did and like many others I found it a bit too long ( about 1/2 an hour long) and hence repetitive but the imagery was wonderful and for people like mewho love to think that way I almost took it for granted that what the film gives is the right order:A But as for cinematography a long time was wasted in evolving the end result. Thanks to those who help us to win !0 -
Anyone knows how to return tickets from credit crunch cinema site if you can't make it?0
-
You don't need to return them as Credit Crunch Cinema is a first come first served event. Once you are registered with them they send you a ticket for each event without you having to ask for it.
There are far more tickets issued than seats in the cinema but as the films are not that popular I don't think this is much of a problem.0 -
What! not again! I missed the Lovely Bones!! The Manchester tickets get taken faaast! I feel like crying
ps - why do they go so fast? i was only 20 mins after it got upped? is that late?0 -
When I did feedback for 'The Lovely Bones', I said that I thought they would have difficulty finding an audience for it. It seems to me that the message of both book and film is about the strength that lies within a family - both in feelings, and in how they overcome - a brutal murder of a child. That's dark stuff, which even adults struggle with. However, the movie seems firmly pitched at the teenage market! And the whimsy-mimsy Emo side, at that - all that maundering about in Technicolour world, as if an early death is something fabulous!
Personally I think it's rather dangerous territory, to be encouraging suggestible teens to think about death and the Hereafter in these terms. In my opinion, the movie should not have pulled it's punches about the actual murder - the book certainly didn't. Watching just the movie, you are given no knowledge of the rape, or the way in which she meets her end - with her throat slit. Even with that omission though, I found it upsetting. Don't go if you have young children - it will give you nightmares.0 -

About the Event!
Since its official opening in March 2009 by the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, the critically acclaimed British Music Experience has welcomed tens of thousands of visitors through its doors who have enjoyed the ultimate trip through the history of British rock and pop.
The last year has seen the British Music Experience host exclusive gigs from Bon Jovi, Jamie Cullum and Jeff Beck, unique workshops and masterclasses in collaboration with some the music industry's finest and most respected figures, and held a series of temporary exhibitions including the display of Andy Warhol's 1984
About the British Music Experience
The British Music Experience is administered as a charitable foundation and managed by an independent board of trustees, chaired by Harvey Goldsmith.
In March 2009 the British Music Experience (BME), a permanent, high-tech, interactive music exhibition opened within the world's most popular music venue, The O2. The BME takes over the 22,000 square feet on the top floor of The O2 bubble, The O2's state of the art exhibition space. A combination of cutting edge audio-visual technology and the most coveted music memorabilia of all time has culminated in the creation of one of Britain's most compelling attractions.
The British Music Experience enables visitors to trace musical trends through the decades, learn about music's influence on art, fashion and politics and allow visitors to download music from the BME archive. For the genuine musical experience members of the public can visit the Gibson Interactive Studio, a fully integrated space within the BME where they can play various Gibson guitars, Slingerland Drums, pianos, mixing desks and have a go on in the Sennheiser Vocal Booth. There is also a full public and educational programme with workshops, lectures, master-classes and concerts.
Hundreds of artists feature in the exhibition from The Beatles to Iron Maiden, from Cilla Black to Elastica, from David Bowie to Motorhead with in depth looks at musical genres from Skiffle to Reggae, from Rock n Roll to Blues, from Punk to Urban.
The British Music Experience uses RFID technology throughout the exhibition. Traditional tickets are replaced by a Smarticket which allows visitors to activate the interactive elements of the exhibition and also to register further interest in specific BME features. Visitors can then visit https://www.britishmusicexperience.com to access free downloads and discover more about the parts of the exhibition they want to learn more about.
Although predominantly an interactive exhibition there are key pieces of British music memorabilia featured including David Bowie's Ashes to Ashes clown suit and Ziggy Stardust costume, Noel Gallagher's Union Jack guitar, Roger Daltrey's Woodstock outfit and a vintage Amy Winehouse dress. Thanks to those who help us to win !0 -

The British Music Experience offer is a great one although a little awkward to get everyone to book separately. I would recommend it for 11s and over if they are into music- especially if they play guitar or drums as there is a lab there where you can play on great instruments with a video tutor which they think is amazing. Actually, the displays are great for any age as there are clips from the 50s on and lots of interviews with interesting people. I have just booked a token for my son to go with his 'band' on Sunday- my only worry is that it will be over subscribed and the queues really long, but I reckon if they get there early it will be ok.0
