Thanks to my B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L friend Poochface I managed to see The Lovely Bones yesterday!
A bit too long, it could have finished when he is discovered but I'll say no more for the people that has not seen it yet and want to be surprised.:p
By the way there is a legal way to get tickets and it is directly asking SFF for change of name:AThanks to those who help us to win !0 -

Must have struck lucky tonight I thought I would give it a go and wasn't even asked for my card - I thought Lovely Bones was a good film.0 -
i was asked for id in romford last night. and wood green (or was it brixton?) last week. i think i have been asked for id in about 1 in 3 trips recently. all of these in and around london. i think that sff are tightening their act up.
beware if you intend to swop tickets and such like.0 -

I have been doing the free films for a good 3 years now and never once have I been asked for id (always around the Manchester area), maybe they are getting strict in London.0 -
Hi all
Just returned 2 tickets to see Invictus at Brighton Odeon on Sunday 31st January via See Film First, as I now can't go. Hope this helps somebody0 -
To those of you who saw The Lovely Bones on Wednesday 27th Jan at Odeon, Liverpool ONE, were you asked for your Times+ membership card?0

You only have 2 cinemas in Swansea? That's ridiculous. I feel sorry for you Welsh0 -
The Lovely Bones
Rather weird & surreal, not going to win any awards I'd guess (except just possibly something for original screenplay or maybe the sound track - music by Brian Eno)
It's a neither one thing nor the other type of film - defintely too long (probably by about AN HOUR  )
Several people around me looking very bored and yawning constantly after just 20 minutes.
Very very glad it was FREE - can't give it more than 5/10 - and 1 of them is for Mr Eno
Anyone that didn't get tickets - you didn't miss much
Can't think I'll be recommending it to a single person

Surreal is exactly the word I would use.
Wish they had cut the hour out of Susies wandering around the in-between world. Lovely scenery can get boring. I don't think her wanderings added anything to the story line, or to any underlying 'moral' to the film.
Certainly not the standard of film I expected given the cast. Does not instill in me any desire the read the book:cool:

I downloaded The Lovely Bones a few weeks ago. It started off really well, then went down hill ... fast!0
