i think the consensus at the cinema i went to, was the ending was a bit 'up in the air'
until the last 10 mins the film was just about watchable, and then it seems they just gave up on the story, and ended with George waffling on about stars and the light on his wing tip! eh?

I quite enjoyed it. It didn't tax my brain cells but I found it quite amusing but it won't win any awards.
EDIT ... forgot to add sorry... I am cancelling 2 tickets for 44 Inch Chest tomorrow at Cineworld, Birmingham Broad Street as I can't make it now. Hope these help someone."Never doubt that a small group of concerned citizens can change the world"

Yippee!! Proud to be dealing with my debts :j0 -
Amazingly I got tickets for Mondy, Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday this week. I normally can get none! This is likely the only week that I can do weekdays screenings until Easter so I am very pleased.
I saw "Up in the Air" last night and I was also disappointed. George Clooney seems to do the same part most of the time (not always). I do like him but it can be quite tiresome. I thought it was predictable and people in the cinema laughed very few times so not great. I thought the young girl was by far the best in it.
Hopefully the rest of the films this week will be better.

I was also a bit disappointed with "Up in the air". If I had paid I would have been very disappointed though! I thought the movie was.. alright. There were some funny parts but nothing that was so funny it made your stomach hurt from laughing. The best part in it I think was the party scenes but that was over quick. It just seemed to drag and drag at first with nothing much happening. I also found it a bit depressing. Shame really, as I was told it was a good movie, not to me it wasnt.Weight loss November 09-January 10: [STRIKE]13lbs[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]20lbs[/STRIKE] 27lbs! :j0

I really liked "Up in the Air", you could tell the same people who did Juno were behind this. Very well executed, would recommend this for anyone who likes subtlety and intelligent humour :j0

Entirely agree!
Essentially, this is a film about someone who thought that his life was perfect by not having any attachments, being able to do what he wants, whenever he wants, believing that family and friends just bring baggage, complications and heart-break. In a few weeks, we see how these ideas are challenged, and he begins to re-evaluate his way of life. I thought it was powerful stuff.

Received an email from woolworths today:
Hi!
As one of our Very Important Families, we hope you've enjoyed the Movies for Juniors promotion we've been running over the last 6 months, it's been great to share free entertainment with you and we've loved hearing your feedback.
Unfortunately the promotion has now ended (boo, hiss), but the good news is you can still visit your local Cineworld on any Saturday to see a selection of fantastic classic kids films for the bargain price of just £1 per ticket (hurrah!)0 -

Obviously not me then
I enjoyed Juno but this thing never got started
You sure we were watching the same film?
Boring, predictable, didn't hear a single person in the whole cinema laugh at any point, even the sound track was instantly forgettable0 -
I watched Film 2010 earlier this evening and apparently Up In the Air is tipped for Oscar nominations. Maybe my earlier comment about this film not winning any awards, might come back and bite me on the bum0
