Just got back from 'watching' The Last Exorcism...at least I would have watched it if Cineworld in Sheffield actually HAD the film grrrr
They did give us two complementary tickets to any 2D film however, due to our recent preview success we had seen every film they are showing with the exception of Airbender and Expendables (didn't fancy wasting 2 hours of our lives!):(
So drove home again...will return to Sheff at some point to watch our free film!!0 -

I saw The Expendables last week and found it thoroughly entertaining. Was very humerous and great fun. You can't beat some mindless violence now and again :rotfl: And the music over the closing credits was Thin Lizzy - The Boys Are Back in Town. Quite a lot of stayed to listen (and sing) to it. In fact I was singing it to myself for the rest of the day! :T0 -
Sky Movies will be previewing Tamara Drewe, but booking has not opened yet its says from 27 August........I was looking hoping they might be doing Despicable Me so I could take the kids!!:hello:0

It really irks me when they don't get the film in, either on time or at all.
At least you managed to get two tickets to see another film. They often try to get out of it.
I saw the movie tonight, and really enjoyed it. The cinema it was screening in is the worst for 'no shows' and I had to check that everything was tickety boo for the showing tonight. Luckily for me, it was (for a nice change)!!!Invented tradition: Couponology

Thanks for the heads up Pooch. I have been using up tix lately. Today, wait for it, yes I actually got to see Inception again - finally (and free with tickets to use up, obviously). Want to see it again - lol in a semi-serious way. I went into an AD screening. Didn't know what to expect, but it was just like any other screening. Last week saw every Inception screening changed to nights only, so jumped at the chance of an afternoon screening.
It was either that or go to see any film this morning to watch before the Scott Pilgrim student showing (now have an NUS card), then to go onto see The Last Exorcism this evening.
However, I decided against just any two films (as only got my NUS card yesterday and might not have been able to get into the student showing) in favour of Inception (surprise), and still got to see The Last Exorcism. So, what a lovely day.
I still have more tickets to use up by next week, and due to having seen most of what is on at cinema, I might just go and see The Expendables. We chose Salt on Sunday past, and thought The Expendables for this Sunday.Invented tradition: Couponology

NUS card??? Mmmmm Pooch ponders on what courses she can enrol for without actually having to turn up!
You'll be getting Christmas cards from Leo at this rate or else he'll have you down as a stalker!!:rotfl:
What did you think of Salt? Will it get me over my Angelina phobia? The only people I've spoken to have been blokes drooling at the thought of seeing her on the big screen! The opinion of a sane female would be welcome.:)0 -
I'm all for newcomers posting codes and joining in. I completely understand the excitement of finding and posting your first code but seriously, is it too difficult to ask people to check if the code has already been posted? I know that because of a lot of superfluous posts we have several pages to check but it is so easy to do by using the search thread facility. But when the code was only posted half an hour before another person goes to post, is it so hard to ask people to look at the previous few posts? Is it?? :wall:0

Shame they didn't offer tix for Despicable me!! Not quite the same genre but would have loved it!!:(0 -

Only committed students need apply - lol, but unsure where they are committed to - lol.
Nah, not a Leo fan, but do like CM and TH. More like an appreciator of CN work. If anything, I'm theory stalking/learning, and who better to learn from than such a brilliant auteur. I would watch Inception every day if I could. Just amazing.
I liked Salt. It has to be taken with an equal pinch of the equivalent title, but it was enjoyable. Far, far fetched, but just a good little action movie, if you manage to leave all aspects of reality outside the cinema door.
I can't imagine TC in the role. AJ seemed to be a fine choice for the role. I think she's trying to shake off the fancy dress (well skimpy shorts) TR-style, and go for more meatier roles. I think she fares far better than JA ever could.
I would always say use your gut feeling, and go by how you feel about watching a film, but I can honestly say that I was pleasantly surprised with the film, but not everybody shares that opinion. Salt has been getting mixed reviews.Invented tradition: Couponology
