Have I had a post deleted from this thread in the last day or two?

Thanks to BondJamesBond :T got to see inception. 150 minutes long but felt like 30 mins it was that good.
    Nice ending ;)

FYI, we were IDed. They turned away two other groups of people who had tickets but no matching ID. The two bouncer guys looked like two out of work actors from Men In Black and were FILMING people throughout the film which was so bloody annoying! i could see red lights from the IR cameras coming at us every 20 mins or so.

if i ever am going to record a film I'll do it at the start of the film to the end...not half way through so why they bothered checking 10 mins from the end beats me :p

Bloody good film. Saw a preview for the new Matt Damon film that looked very similar to the matrix, forget the name...

Does ticket begging on here not get on anyone elses nerves?! i'm guessing if people have spare tickets they will let us know by posting something on here.....
i cannot see the issue with people asking for tickets on here... you call it begging??? its not prisoner cell block H after all... theres no bigwig to say what people should or should not say on here.... it really does not matter how long you have been visiting this site... its here for a purpose.. and if you get picky about the people who are obtaining tickets or the way in which they ask then you should not bother posting here at all.. i thought the ticket codes were for anyone to use... and the discussusion thread for anyone to chat... wether they ask for tickets or want to review a movie...... theres lots of people, including me who would love to be able to post codes... if i knew how to get them... and would like tickets to movies...

Saw the trailer, and thought it looked brilliant. No date for it yet, though. Only listed as 2011 on IMDB. Something to look forward to.

    Edit to add:

Saw on another website that release date might be 17th September 2010 (might be worldwide, might be USA, unsure). Did wonder why they were starting to show trailers if not released until next year. I can wait until September.

Then again, I just checked an original post for Inception (just after I watched the trailer for that) and that was in August 2009. Can't believe I was waiting to see that for almost a year.

They showed it in screen 2. From past experience where I was also turned away even with an email print out, I collected my tickets on Tuesday. On the day, members are allowed to collect right up until the start and they have priority over others.

I really like FACT, but they don't seem to be able to accommodate everyone, and you get scenes like last night.

    Hope this helps....

Thanks a lot for the details, I'm away from home at the moment but expect to be at FACT next week and I think I'll have a word with one of the managers. I understand that Members will have priority but they still need to consider the non-members too. Touch wood, I've been lucky and always got in to previews. However, I use a bus service for the disabled and as such don't have as much control over when I will arrive. Many a time, I've feared that I won't make it in time if I use the bus as it depends on where else it needs to go, so I have jumped a taxi instead. Now if I'd paid £10 and been refused entry at 6pm, I'm afraid I would have gone nuts! I feel so guilty that I finally persuaded a friend to go to FACT, praising it to the hilt only for him and his wife to be turned away at 6pm ish.

Some sort of compromise is needed or else Picturehouse @ FACT should take themselves off the list of cinemas who participate in the preview screenings. (which is the last thing I want as it is my fave cinema) It brings negativity and mistrust to the whole thing and I doubt that the film companies want that. After all they want positive responses and word of mouth not a complete cockeral up!:(
