Some sort of compromise is needed or else Picturehouse @ FACT should take themselves off the list of cinemas who participate in the preview screenings. (which is the last thing I want as it is my fave cinema) It brings negativity and mistrust to the whole thing and I doubt that the film companies want that. After all they want positive responses and word of mouth not a complete cockeral up!:(

I have been reading some horror stories wrt refused entry. It's just so unfair. How much do people build themselves up to see the films and how much (as you have mentioned) do people spend on getting there in the first place - it's just not on!

Firstly, I want to make it clear that people asking for tickets doesn't bother me and I often help people to get tickets.

Secondly, you are quite wrong in what you say. Martin Lewis is the bigwig who says what can or cannot be posted anywhere on the site and his team of vounteer moderators enforce those rules.

All you need to do is go to the first page of this thread and read the very first message posted by heatherw_01 where she explains what this thread is for and also posts the quote below.


"Please note that swapping of tickets should not be posted as it is against the site rules to exchange personal details. See here."

I think we all need to bear in mind that there are moderators who will from time to time remind people of this rule.

Just checked BBFC and nothing came up for this film, I may well have mis spelled the film as I am completely shattered. Done so much in such a short time away.

I don't know how long before a release date that a film gets it's classification although sometimes it can be just days before release can't it. Anyway, nothing on there as yet.

Don't think we got this trailer in Leeds.:(

Saw on another website that release date might be 17th September 2010 (might be worldwide, might be USA, unsure). Did wonder why they were starting to show trailers if not released until next year. I can wait until September.

Then again, I just checked an original post for Inception (just after I watched the trailer for that) and that was in August 2009. Can't believe I was waiting to see that for almost a year.

I remember waiting for Shutter Island for an eternity. The release date was pushed back several times until they moved it to the following year so it could qualify for the Oscar. I think i saw the first trailer about nine months before the film eventually showed up!

A compromise is needed. Maybe Members need a cut off point to collect their tickets by instead of still be able to turn up on the night of screening. Or maybe a percentage should be allocated to members. I realise that the latter idea in particular won't be popular but a fairer system needs to be in place.

The management of FACT are great and extremely approachable but whether they will take up a different system remains to be seen. People can only ask.

This will be well worth waiting for, either way. Btw, if anyone else is a Matt Damon fan (as I am), then Rounders 2 is in the pipeline. I liked Norton's 'Worm' in the original and anything with John Turturro just has to be good. Wonder what the new cast list will be like.
