I agree about the violence, I took my 6 & 7 year olds, I think my 6 year old found the fighting at the beginning a bit scary. After that initial fight scene it was OK and she enjoyed the rest of it.

I agree with the age comment above. I think the new one is imbalanced somewhat.

You got the same story line as the original, which had older characters and less violence (sweep the leg vs. break the leg, Jackie taking on a group of 12 year olds vs. Miyagi taking on college kids etc) and in the new one you got a younger cast with MORE violence. The violence in the new one would've worked better in the original.

I understand Jaden's character was supposed to be 12 but he looked much younger than that (I'd say 10).

The problem for me was it felt like the movie was trying to be PG and PG-13 (or more) at the same time. The kids/romantic angle made it feel like a PG but the violence contradicted the whole vibe and it felt a bit inconsistent.

Regarding the violence in the new one... I'm no expert, but I would have thought that if a 12-year old got beaten up as many times and as badly as Dre Parker, he would have had a few broken ribs and been in hospital.

Having said that, I guess it's a film, so you can imagine what you want. Also if you think too much about films/fantasy, then James Bond should should have died years ago or have at least a few scars :).

If you need directions to the cinema, go to Cineworld's website!

What other LEGITIMATE reason might you have to be asking for "exact" address on the ticket???

    Hmmm.....
