mine is 8.30 on a school night, lights out at 9. he's found it quite a shock to the system that he has to get up an hour earlier for school now he's changed schools. weekends they go bed when they start to bug me :) 10.30 latest
  • My 13 year old has to be in bed by 10pm and that has only been a recent thing as his bedtime was 9.30 before that. There's no way I'd let him stay up until 10.30 on a school night as a) it's too late, b) he needs his sleep so that he won't be ratty at school the next day and c) I want a kid free night! :D

my 14 year old twins go to bed at 9pm
tho one of them often goes as early as 8pm on a school night, as he is so tired, and actually asks to go to bed earlier

I think it depends on the child.

My 10 year old is horrid the next day if he's not asleep by 8.30pm! He goes to bed around 8pm and is allowed to read until 8.30pm and then it's lights out.

My 12 year old is a lot more mature and goes to bed when he feels ready to. Some nights he's in bed around 8.30pm and other nights he's up till 11pm. Usually he goes between 9.30-10pm. He's been up till just after 10pm this evening as he was watching a film with his Dad.
Here I go again on my own....
