DVD decoder for windows media player

Hi all ,
I posted this problem before but never did resolve it so asking again .
I use to be able to play DVD's through windows media play but not its coming up i need a dvd decoder . Is there something wrong with my pc or has media player all changed .
Does anyone have a link to any free decoders that will work with windows media player .

Search for divx ..You will only need to Codec not the player0

thanx i found this page before but you have to buy these .

There are NO free and legal ways to get the MPEG 2 decoder, it is a licenced propiratery peice of software and it needs to be paid for someway.
Using VLC without paying the licence fee in somway is illegal. however chances are you have paid for it indirectly somway.0 -
