  • Gosh, I'd love to pay a visit to you two, Beanie and Hypno. It would be so nice to do something for the two of you, who are always so encouraging of baby MSE'rs like me. Maybe I should have an MSE cleaning holiday?! Form an orderly queue, people......it IS funny how I just love to clean and tidy....am a Cancerian, which helps, and when growing up, we didn't have a very nice house, and not much money, and lived in the middle of London, in a not very nice area....and now I live by the sea, and have a lovely house...so I think it's all to do with that....I do count my blessings.

Speaking of which, even though we squabble frequently, am v lucky to have Mr R....we have been to school today to see if we could get some kind of a deal on the fees, whilst we have the money....we can.. a very good one in the long term......it's all due to Mr R. He is quite dynamic....who dares wins and all that, that's him - again I am lucky here. He is also saying he can help me with the business just now...so I can push on.....just waiting for my designs.....

Was looking at my finances last night - I basically just have enough left in my redundancy pot for 1.5 more "paydays", so need to get some clients urgently - going to be v proactive on that.....I really want to find that extra £300 for my "work", but it's just not there, personally, and Mr R would be agahst, so no scope there.....going to put a few things on eBay though...it all helps.

Also looked at my MSE journey so far ...and have paid £5.5k off my CCs since March 09, and am quite proud of that really - I know it's nothing compared to what other people here do, but it all represents sensible choices I've made, things I've said no to, to be able to do it...and that's something to celebrate I feel

I'm really really happy - and sending happy vibes to everyone reading this too

it is not the amount that you repay that is important - it is all relative, after all - but it is, as you say, all about decisions-making and thinking about your options before making the more sensible options, and weighing up the pros and cons before spending money you don't have.

so, all very positive there, and hurrah for the school fees :D

  • 3 NSDs in a row!! And my new kitchen starts tomorrow......was going to post a link but can't for some reason - anyway, if anyone really is interested it's the Burford Cream from Howdens.......nothing fancy or glossy, as am a shabby chic girl at heart (well, in matters of the home)...am thinking now maybe have been a bit too safe, but will have to live with it for a long time, so just wanted something classic and easy to live with. And my new logo design is finished, and am about to place my ad....it's taking up next month's surplus funds, so will just have to pay the minimums on my CCs for one month only, but hopefully will prove worth the investment.....

OK, just a quickie as gotta pooch to walk.....

Very nice Mrs R. 2 friends have kitchens from Howdens and both are lovely and very chic.

I too love a bit of shabby chic and would love to be wiping flour from my brow in THIS little beauty. One day......

Good luck with the venture, so exciting!
