  • OK. signature updated to reflect this month's minimum payments, as have also just paid the graphic designer's invoice of £300 and paid £66 to advertise my new venture. But I have a new client! The first of many, am hoping. This one's come by word of mouth, and he's having 3 hours tomorrow to do a blitz as his daughter is arriving from NZ on Wednesday, and then wants start weekly from next week. Hurrah!

Have more money news to update - joint stuff, really - but got to go and watch a cricket match now (zzzzz........)

Excellent news on the new client - and word of mouth is always the best! I am really pleased for you and hope that it is the first of many xx

  • Thanks people. So am just cooking tea in my now ramshackle, but due-to-be-finished by next weekend kitchen (still have a cooker as kept my own Rangemaster, so v MSE - and nothing wrong with it anyway), so just nosing in everyone's diaries. Was my BD yesterday - pretty quiet, as with kitchen disruption, am not good at trying to do too many things at once - but had a nice lunch out with Mr R, and a nice walk with him and the dog and a drink in the evening - and was exhausted by 11pm. I mean really, falling asleep on the sofa with a headache exhuasted - think as keep doing trips back and forth to MILs with washing and dishwashing, and as she is (fortunately) away in France, need to water her densely planted gardens too, which takes a while....so Mr R sent me to bed, and didn't get up until 11 today, which is UNHEARD of. So now am 45. And am just fine with that, as probably am having the best time ever of my life just now.

And Mr R got me some fab presents - a new white tunicy thing from Fat Face - a fantastic long white t shirt with a pale sequinned union jack on it and an asymetric hem, some choclate, an i Tunes voucher, and a new bottle of Chanel Coco Mademosielle - my current fave, which I have been eking out for some months in the hope of getting more. Plus flowers and wine and a bangle and some money from friends and family. So was v spolit.

In my life I've worn 4 perfumes (tune out now if this is boring, BTW....I just find this sort of stuff interesting but that might just be me). Estee Lauder's Cinnabar (aged 18-25), Lancome's Tresor (aged 25 -30), Clinique's Aromatics (30-35, but right off this now), then back to Tresor (aged 35-40 and still love it but currently out of it ) and Coco Mademosielle most recently. I really really love Miller Harris' Terre du Bois, but only discovered it post MSE, so have never indulged. But maybe, if things take off with the House Mistress, I will allow myself some of that at Christmas.....

This week we're off to IKEA and John Lewis for kitchen stuff - not v MSE, but we have the money and it will be FUN. And am still on track, MSE wise.....though I have to go through a/cs tonight with Mr R, as he keeps mixing up his own a/c and the joint a/c, so we have some serious sorting to do there. Never my favourite thing, but hey ho.

Ok, self indulgent ramblings over ....

    Have a good week all

  • Ah yes, and when I weighed myself at MILs yesterday ....I was.....8st 7lbs. Not that I've ever been big, but a while ago I thought I'd try for 8st 5....so nearly there.....the "new kitchen" diet is helping here (don't eat much as all too difficult)....
