All sounds very good here Mrs R. Wow, I wish I was a size 8, and what a very fabulous bargain :)

Looking forward to the arrival of one pressed glass lidded jar. I'll finally have a jewellery box :) courtesy of ebay.

    Keep up the good work

    Thanks all for posts.

    Signature updated.

So cross with myself over the parking ticket, that I changed up my change pot and a few odd Euros today. Netted me £22, so £13 to go! Cleaning tomorrow, so will pay fine after that.

Bit bullet and ordered the ruined cardi again from FF - is just so useful. Didn't realise that if they don't have your size in shop, they will order and post to you free - a little tip in case you are tempted to buy online when of course you'll pay postage. So at least have re-bought it an MSE way (kind of....)

Got rejected for the casual work had applied for - this at least is the third item in the "three bad money things" triumvirate - so now, I can move on!!

Going to be more MSE proactive this week - there are some things taking up closet space I can eBay, and surveys to be done...etc.

Slightly paniced as hitting a wall with the freelance work just now, and at the end of July I will officially have no income other than CHB and cleaning money. Will hardly be on my uppers as we are OK as a family, but I want to keep paying off my debts, and need £330 a month to clear my Egg in 12 months....so going to start thinking about (whisper it) some sort of "job"...but what?

My Egg CC's 0% rate ran out on 1 May. Keen not to pay interest, I've applied for Virgin and RBS's 0% deals online....and got turned down. Well, turned down flat with RBS (despite 20 years as acurrent a/c customer and an unblemished credit record) and got a "we need some time before we can make a decision" response from Virgin. This is I presume what happens when you have to put your status as "homemaker"?

Thus, in my currently somewhat jittery state, I called RBS, who said I could have a 3.9% rate for 6 months....so I took it, worried that I'd not get anything better and trying to avoid 16.9% with Egg. So that sub 4k status on Egg was short lived, as have moved it to RBS, where it joins the £337.50 left on RBS, plus a 3% fee (£119) and interest (by my calcs about £14.50 a month, so not too punitive). So now looking like about £4469.00!

Still, in my head, when I make next month's £337 payment, the original RBS will be gone. And in July I'll be sub 4k again! Then I just need to work on drumming up £330 a month to clear it in 12 months. More would be better, obv.

Right, got to get on it

Paid my parking fine! Had two NSDs! Put petrol in my car, put cleaning money aside for next week's spending and made big breakthrough with freelance stuff! Tonight aiming to do some surveys, tomorrow some eBay, and going to try to recruit another couple of cleaning clients. Anything to find that £300 a month without having to have an actual.....job.

    So, back on track

Oh I so wish you were near me and could do my cleaning - I would be more than happy to pay you!

Seriously, though, I think that the cleaning is the way forward for you - good cleaners are like gold dust, so you can pick and choose your clientele, and take on as little or as much as you like!

I am sure you will get far more than your required £300 per month from it with ease!
