we missed you, but glad your back
The good news is we survived the financial preassure of school hols:T. I am so lucky to have a little boy and dh who loves bikes and parks. We took drinks and picnics wherever we went also.
You did well, we took 2 hols, but were money savvy, Tesco paid for the 1st, but its the little extras that add up. But give dd her due she was good and didn't ask for hardly anything.
Christmas shopping coming alond nicley.
Thats brilliant, don't forget your always on the xmas thread....
Ok now for bad news:eek: took eye off ball a bit and dh credit card has gone over limit and we have a defult letter:eek:.(is that really bad?????
Ok, its not brilliant, but on a scale of 1 to 10 on crisis factor, be about a 3, just like a slap on the wrist, check his next statement, as the charge will be on there usually £12. If its his 1st charge, ring the card company explain it was error and most will either wipe it or half it, it go on credit file, if it was 10 cards he'd defaulted on then thats worry time.
Washing machine died:eek:. aH NOT GOOD, is there any family that can help out for now with the washing, if you need to get one shop around, I know its getting more debt, but with Argos, there offer u there store card, and depending on spend - it can be 3 or 6 mths later you pay. I did that with mums bday prezzie dining table and chairs - very odd, but thats our family, but what I've done is put the money into bank account, so its ready b4 the 6 months.
Hubby may be made redundant:eek:. Oh no, is it at rumour stage, or likely to be, what I would suggest, is get his CV updated, just take each day at a time, - easier said than done.
But i live dayby day spending only what we need and juggling like a circus clown!!!_pale_.
YOUR DOING ABSOLUTELTY BRILLIANTLY, YOU NEED TO PROUD OF YOURSELF
I have if possible have had a lightbulb within a lightbulb. - Thats good, as some people who go on DMP just end up spending elsewhere, you've done brilliantly
Debt is going down but ony cause i have paid all front loaded interest so loans are down first one ends March 2012:).
Thats going brilliantly, once the 1st goes, the others flow well.
So i fight on and fall down and get up and just keep breathing.

Hi, i have been thinking of taking on another part time job. Does anyne know how much tax i
would pay. My main job pays 16500k per year .
Started my envelope system the nice lady in morrisons gave me my cashback in £9 £1 coins and 2 50p's!
Hubby had £30 parking fine:mad: cant argue he was parked illegally!!
One step forward comes to mind!!!:(
You all ok?

Hi all quick question is a defult notice that you get when you go over agreed limit the same as defult for non payment?
Thanks0 -
Firstly, you should expect to pay 20% of anything you earn in your second job in tax. That sounds a lot, but remember you are keeping 80% of it yourself

Re the default- my understanding is that a default is the same, no matter what it is issued for or for how much, etc, but I cannot be certain.
Hope you are ok xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Thank you, u do all the hard work. love the envelope idea, just another thought, if you have allocated spends for yourself, maybe open a 2nd bank account, and put the money in there, so its not out of the main, and left you could chuck at something.
If you do the 2nd job - its 20% of all the income as the tax free allowance would be on your main job, thou they may take it as emergency tax for the start - until it gets sorted. I did 2 periods of double jobs and nightmare getting the tax sorted, as both employers used different tax offices, but a few phone calls later got sorted. Good luck xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Thanks mum2one and hypno. 2nd job spends would not be alot weekly ( prob £15) but my plan is i have opened a 2nd account and i am having it paid into there and hopefully by this time next year i will have a bout £500 :Tso either summer holiday or pay off debt but prob holiday if i am honest.x;)
2nd job pays £6 per hr and its on my way home from an early finish at my main job so no additional outlay for petrol etc!
Off to make my tUna sanswich for work now. Have a good day.

That bit of extra income will soon add up, so good for you, and if it doesn't incur any additional cost of petrol etc then even better :TSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. That sounds perfect, esp no extra outlay, sound daft but the £15 soon all up, and as its from 2nd job I'd grab the holiday.
When I did the 1st batch of 2nd jobs - I did the holidays, felt really guilt free. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
