Loved life a wee bit too much!

Hi BTD, you are very lucky to have a caravan to borrow from FIl. I have to say as a family we love our caravan. We have decided to sell ours
We initially had an old little van that I would have kept until it ran into the ground, I had replaced all of the carpets, curtains, cushions etc. But the fridge and cooker had packed up, whilst going to the caravan place to see about fixing fridge and cooker, we came away having part chopped it in for a new(er) one
This is a decision I deeply regret as I wouldn't be even contemplating selling my old van. New van is money sat in there that could be paying off the card that was used to buy it and the insurance and storage all adds up.
I always either make pack ups whilst we are away or we don't go too far and come back for lunch and go back out after. The amount of time my DD says she is thirsty and wants drinks etc. I always make sure she has made up squash in a bottle
What are you going to go and see on Orange Wednesday? We are going to go and see Harry Potter
Just keep swimming!0 -

Hi all and thanks for comments and welcome to pauper. My thoughts on the £1 a day was to transfer to seperate account for summer holds next year for spending? Or i may do sealed tin.?:p
Well we went to drayton manor. £72 admission as i booked on line saving £17.:j
Packed a picnic and went back to car to eat for 15mins as carparks are close to entrance
.
Ds had candyfloss and sherbet (all the good stuff lol) and dh had a coffee.
I took food from freezer to heat up when we got home to avoid grabbing a takeaway .
It was raining first thing quite heavy but our legoland rain capes saved the day!!:T(and got moneys worth out of lol):rotfl:.
The rain worked in our favour though as the longest we queued was about 20 min for the new ben ten ride all others were 5 mins max.
Allin all we have had a fab 2 weeks off. Just talking to dh we have spent £95 petrol over the 2 weeks so if you minus the £40 we would have put in for work etc thats £55 for 2 weeks and we have had some long journeys so not bad!
As for today still contempating what to do?
Hope your all well btd x:A0 -
Back again!!! I have out £1 in esavings online for next years summer hols i will put a £1 a day in!:j Also i am not spending £10 a week on the 3 for £10 wine in asda everyweek:eek: i may have the odd bottle and everytime i dont buy wine i am putting money in online saver for christmas food shop! so should have £200 max in there by christmas!:T
Also i have a hen weekend a year Oct (yes i know thats ages):rotfl: i am also going to save for this £2.50 per week. I find this is much doable and you dont miss big chunks of money or stress nearer the time!!!
Off to plan some more now xxBTD:A0 -
There are some absolutely brilliant saving plans there, and you've done brilliantly with the days out.
I'm feeling semi positive, have finally got off rear about debts, and am trying a dmp, (self managed), if push comes to shove and I can't get enough people to agree then pass it to cccs, (done the hard workings out on their system), so far 2 I spoke to day, after dodgy start with one, theyve been really helpful, so at least I know its not just interest thats being serviced (that does sound rude!!).
Feeling at last may be going the right way! xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
HI mum2one i think the banks are resigned now to the fact that people in this climate are not going to be able to pay full min payments. I think the would rather a red payment than none at all x0
