Hi friend your thoughts please. My credit rating trashed because of dmp. now hub is having a default so his will be to!!!:mad:
Now my thoughts we cant get credit now and even if we could cant afford anymore. When we are undercontrol we should save for what we need, Hubby has cards so had 25k avalible credit to him if needs be well no at mo but theese are limits, but cant help thinking i have ruined both of our ratings and this seems to be bad?:( Does one default mean wont get credit or will be more difficult? Hope this makes sence?:). btd0 -
BEAT_THE_DEBT wrote: »Hi friend your thoughts please. My credit rating trashed because of dmp. Ok, don't worry about yours for now, ok its on a dmp, but thats more positive than going bankrupt and in time with the payments your credit rating will improve.
now hub is having a default so his will be to!!!:mad: I'm not the best person on the world, although it may not seem it yes a default is a blip on the horizon, but one in a extended period is not as major as an issue, may knock a few points down, but won't zero you till you go default on everything but the kitchen sink and escape the country.
Now my thoughts we cant get credit now and even if we could cant afford anymore. What you need to do now is make sure that everything done on time, also may be worth having a look at his credit file to make sure everything up to date, and any errors can be corrected now. Your managing brilliantly as you are and were all here for u.
When we are undercontrol we should save for what we need, Hubby has cards so had 25k avalible credit to him if needs be well no at mo but theese are limits, in a way thats a brilliant credit limit to have, that doesn't mean you can jet off to the caribean or cruise round the world on the QE2 unless you take me and dd (only joking), - even if its putting £20 of petrol in the car, then pay the £20 straight back off, sounds daft but its even more important to keep the cards running - more for the way that you may need them, but it will keep it active.
but cant help thinking i have ruined both of our ratings -you haven't ruined both your credit rating
and this seems to be bad?:( Does one default mean wont get credit or will be more difficult? Hope this makes sence?:). btd
Hope you don't mind me putting bits in through out the post, just wanted to answer the best I could. as I said no expert, but have had a fair few defaults in my time on my credit file, but have got there. In typical woman terms think of it as putting a stone on in weight - its a !!!!!! to shift, you might have to put a bit of work into it, but your get there.
Just really make sure keep hubbys payments upto date and one default won't knock you off the scale. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
What do you mean by 'default' - is it just a late payment?LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.
(CC/LOAN = [STRIKE]36,378.98[/STRIKE] 35668.47. O/D = [STRIKE]1255.32[/STRIKE] 1212.35/[STRIKE]1999.78[/STRIKE] 1934.52, BUS = [STRIKE]9769.76[/STRIKE] 8714.98)
Challenge = Debt at 31/01/12 = £25k. 2011 Payments = £1,944.19/£24,403.84
There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!
