They told him all their post is sent 2nd class, which figures as the acceptance letter was postage paid second class too

  • Recieved letter dated 17th December saying that welcome finance hadn't recieved my completed questionnaire and that my case was closed but no final decision has been made as of yet. Phoned welcome and the woman on the end of the phone said that questionnaire had been recieved and that my case was still open?? This is confusing but just wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else and what their outcome was.

It's not uncommon for Welcome to not know what they're doing.

They have 8 weeks from when you orginally sent your complaint in to complete your claim. How long is left?
  • My 8 weeks was up on the 22nd December, should i give them the extra time and wait or do i go ahead with taking it to the FOS?

    Hi there

They could be running late, also due to christmas posting, you could chase them up by ringing them and ask if any letters are on the way to you yet.
    Good luck with this.;)

I would probably wait until after Boxing Day, when the stress of Christmas is over, and make a complaint to the FOS. There's quite a lot of people who have waited months and months and still had nothing from Welcome.
