SSarah - no sympathy from me! I'd bang my saucepan lids but I don't want to chip them.

    Lunch done.

Off to make a start on dinner before heading out to town.

I like them all - the one on the left would be good on a feature wall. We have a dark wallpaper in our dining room, which comes into its own on winter evenings, with a log fire, low lights and lots of candles ;) Which room is it for

    Afternoon all

One load of washing nearly dry. Roast dinner roasted, eaten and washed up and put away and I've cleaned the sink, draining board etc.

Yesterday we worked out how to take the glass out of the oven and grill doors and everything got really well cleaned. Looks like new now, so I was very careful when I was cooking today!

    Hope everyone's OK.

Have had a blitz this morning and got loads done. Have washed the matress protector and even hoovered under the bed!
Took my little ones swimming this morning and left hubby to paint the shed. When i got back an hour and half later he had fetched the paint, sanded the shed and done one side. He was getting his hair off as the paint wasnt covering the old stuff well. He then took the trellis off the front, the wind blew it over, which knocked the tin of paint over:rotfl:He came running up to tell me and when I suggest he go and sort it out and get some more he stomped off down the garden, stamped on the trellis and threw his brush and sloshed the paint onto the shed! Silly man. He has now calmed down, had the lunch I made him and carried on painting:T He looked so funny, at least he is seeing the funny side.
Havent been on for a while, am finding it hard to keep up reading the thread now I am back at work. Made my first jam last night and now i feel i am a proper house wife!:rotfl:It was really easy and cost me virtually nothing as the brambles were free:money: hope everyone is well.

Well I haven't done much flying, bit of washing hung out and some washing up.

My hubby is currently doing some sorting and shifting furniture for me. I overdid it a bit yesterday at the freedom festival, walking about so resting a bit today.

We had fireworks from a huge barge on the Humber and from the flood barriers near The Deep, AMAZING and we were in a prime position on one of the jetty's.:T:T:T:T:T

The fire festival at night is also just magical and today I drove back into town and watched The Red Arrows from the top of one of the high rise car parks.

Was waiting for them to arrive and WOW, they swooped right over our heads as they flew over the marina and the Humber. Breathtaking and magnificent.

My friend is heading over from York to see Florence and the Machine who are playing this afternoon amongst others, all free. Just hoping my legs will work, they've given up on me a bit today.:o

Pigpen, well done on getting your OH house clear, at least he won't have to worry about all of that now he's moved in to yours. What a year for you and the kids, loads of changes and soon....you'll be a student.:rotfl::THope you're bursary is all sorted, seen on the news tons of complaints re the Student Loan Company who have mucked up many students claims.

Right best check on what hubby has done re furniture moving.;)

Have been to the tip so the swingball has gone - it was rusty and not fit to freecycle s has gone to be recycled. I have also taken the vacuum cleaner I 'picked up' yesterday - I asked on Freecycle for a tube as mine had gone and was told I could have one but could I take the whole lot and 'dump' the broken hoover? The old lady had a zimmer so clearly she couldn't so it has gone to the tip no problem!
Have made 'cheats' Bread and Butter pudding using an on-offer tea loaf (already sweet and has fruit in) from Morrison's.

ah - now I know what that RACKET was over Valliland yesterday - The Red Arrows zipped over - must have been on their way back from Trikers...

Quillion middle one for me with either a neutral very light brown or a grey, yes I said grey, carpet. Red cushions would set it off nicely, or cream with a red flower. I wish DP would let me have paper like that. Unsure if I would feature wall it rather than a whole room, or 2 walls of it.

Well caravan is all done, car is packed up inc laundry which needs doing, sat by the pool while the kids make a nuisance of themselves....they won't be in long if they keep this up, then home time.
One day I might be more organised...........

  • Crafty if you are having problems sorcing the flakes Lidl have museli on special offer just now £1 a 750g bag. Luxury fruit and nut contains 50% fruit & nuts and the luxury fruit has 45% fruit. I like the both of them says she that is eating a bowl and trying to type at the same time:rolleyes:
Mmm yes, I used to buy the Lidl luxury fruit one - much nicer than any other I had tried - just realised I have got out of the habit of going to Lidl.
