Oh that's awesome! If you need a guinea pig to try things out, I will volunteer! I have yet to try reiki or crystal therapies. Mixing the two is great idea, people can visit to heal and beautify at the same time!
Blimey - what does your daughter have done?! I hate how much they charge to do women's hair. My grandad was moaning the other day about it costing £8 to do his hair! I was like are you joking, you can't get a trim for less than £30 in town for us!!
I'll remember the tomato sauce tip, thanks!
Thank the gods you offered cos DD1 laughed and said "like I'd trust you!" charming!!!:rotfl: She always has a re-style as they put it but it never looks any different to me other than them cutting it too short on her recent visit. She has highlights too.You sound busy Kassandra
I wish you well with your studies, and may well start a topic on reiki, as I'm quite interested in that.
It sounds like I'm doing a lot more than I actually am. I'm in 10-12 then 1-3pm on a Monday then 10-12 on a Wednesday until March when I add 10-12 on a Tuesday as the Reiki doesn't start until then, although we do a litttle Reiki on the Alternative Therapies course. So I think I can just about manage it what with the new tablets settling down a bit and seeming to quite helpful. Thankyou pip :Tarealbasketcase wrote: »Hi Everyone
just wanted to pop in and say thank you for the wonderful support and advice you gave me last night.
Sadly my mother-in-law passed away this afternoon which has left us all feeling very sad. In the end it was a blessing.
I have spoken today with several people regarding my mum and I feel a little more prepared for what is ahead. The consultants secretary has arranged a further consultation for my mum, unfortunately not until next week, but at least this time I can go with her and my dad and, hopefully, if nothing else, I will be albe to take in a bit more and be able to help my mum and dad more.
I have also spoken with the thorasic specialist nurse, who very gently tried to explain just how poorly my mum is.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, for being around when I needed support.
I hope everyone makes miraculous recovery and gets all the help and support they need.
Aaaaww, I'm so sorry to hear that. Hope OH is bearing up ok. Let us know how your mum gets on xxxx
Anyone heard from Sammy yet? I've only just caught up with the thread as I've been so busy helping my friend. I'm quite worried about her, don't like the thought of her being on her own. I wonder if she can get some sort of system that alerts someone in an emergency. Can't think of the name for them but I'm sure ykwim, they have them in sheltered housing???
If you come on Sammy just wave, you don't have to post anything if you're not up to it but just let us know you're ok, alright hun?0 -

I am very tired careful, as I suffer from insomnia and every so often it overwhelms me. I've felt quite teary today, and of course felt the cold, leading to aches and feeling sorry for myself so more tearsIt's a bit of a vicious circle really, but managed to grab 20 minutes whilst watching Law and Order - and missed the ending. Typical!

How is Mrs S? *g*
Love the photos!

jaz I know what you mean - my MIL had one a while ago, it cost something like £2.50 a week to have and it was patched into the phone line with a button on a lanyard thing round her neck (not that she ever wore it ) and if they got no response from ringing her (the speaker thing broadcast them asking if she was alright and there was a remote mic in the thing round her neck) or she responded that she was in trouble they would notify the next of kin and/or emergency services. It's a great service, I can find out what it was called if sammy's interested?Hope you're ok sammy.

bz/sammy My Mum also had somethign like that but it ws a fall alarm - it detected whether she was upright or not and prompted someone to telephone her if it registered she had fallen. Then if they had no reply, someone went round. It worked when she remembered to wear it!I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0

Morning everyone
Sorry for worrying you all, I didnt even know I had posted on here. I tend to do odd things before a big seizure. My DH was at the pub but I have an sos setting on my phone where I just press a button and it lets him know I need help so he came home.
I slept most of yesterday and as well as the normal pain that follows a seizure, I managed to hit my head on the coffee table as I fell.
Thank you all for your good wishes.
Hope you are all ok today and cwta hope your dad is feeling better.0 -
