I'm sorry to hear your news, basket. I hope that we have been able to help in some small way and, if you need us, I am sure someone will be around. The specialist nurses are wonderful.
I hope you and your OH can draw some strength from one another during this time, but if you do feel things are very stretched or external influences cause you more anguish, just accept that some things you cannot change and some you just cannot deal with right this moment. It is OK to say this is too much - it's not selfish, it's perfectly normal.
Our thoughts are with you.
JojoI could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
sammy10 - please let us know how you are this morning?"There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0

Hi Marcia.
I can sympathise with the sciatica. I've had quite a bad episode for a while now, and it always seems to be there, although thankfully under control to an extent due to meds.
I also know what you mean about the walking. I use a tens when I do, but can't walk unaided without being in pain. The wheelchair helps, but I can't always sit down due to the pressure either.
I figure we learn to live with it though. There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -
Cwta how's your dad?"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0

bz He's quite poorly - he's had a small bleed on his brain (they think - from a high temperature) but they think the whole thing is down to an inner ear disorder. Doc will be going to see him again tomorrow and I'll spend some time there as well. He ws quite obviously feeling really sorry for himself, poor love.
How is Mrs S? *g*

Sorry to hear that Cwta, I hope he recovers soon.
It's a bit worrying we haven't heard from sammy? I don't know much about epilepsy, would it leave her very ill?"There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0 -
Yes, sorry to hear about your dad careful. It must be a worry for you and although there's nothing I can do, sending (((((HUGS))))) all the same. There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0

I'm going to be putting the heat on again tonight. I ache all over this evening [busy day] and can't seem to get warm. There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0

jaz I don't know that much about epilepsy either, but I think it can leave someone very tired and disoriented afterwards. I do hope sammy is OK.
pipkin I very rarely feel the cold (which saves me a fortune on heating!), but I've had one of those days where I'm hot then cold then hot again. Hot flushes don't help too much either. I always get cold if I'm overtired - could that be the case with you too?
Am tired and headachey tonight - apart from dad sitting tomorrow, will plan a quiet rest of the day, but still have so much to do here (only moved in just under 3 months ago) and this pacing yourself lark means things inevitably get left.
Got a date today for removal of cyst in mouth - 5th Oct. Day before Neuro appointment, so may as well spend the night in the hospital car park!I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0
