Thanks for the welcome
. It tends to vary, I can go a couple of weeks then have 5 or 6 a day for a week. Still trying to work out my triggers too.
Hope you are recovered from your accident now. (I have been reading just didnt have the courage to post:o)0 -
Hi Everyone, feeling really low and confused and just need to know someone is out there. My mum is really poorly and my mother in law is worse, OH and his family are with her 'cos she may not last the night.
I need my guy here to hold me tight but he can't be, I can't be with him 'cos his mum is infectious and I can't risk passing it to my mum.
I have never in my life been in the midst of such a drama and I don't know how to cope.If anything I say starts to make sense, PANIC!0 -
Major hugs to you arealbasketcase. They may sound a bit weird, but have you thought of phoning The Samaritans so you can talk to someone who may help calm you a little and will understand what you are going through?
sammy 5/6 a day sometimes? That must leave you feeling absolutely exzhausted and mentally all over the place. Hope you are getting some decent medical support.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
Hugs to arealbasketcase, hope things improve.
CWTA Its awful and wipes me out totally but I have to get on with it. I have medical support, not sure you could call it decent though :rolleyes:0 -
There's almost always someone around. It's hard to have to be tougher than you feel because someone else is having it worse, basketcase. And you'll have to be careful with hygiene when your OH gets back so there is no chance anything gets passed to your mum. And tactful too - that's a lot to expect from anyone.
Sammy - do you get absences mostly or the full blown ones? An X SIL is epileptic, she eventually got put on a med which not only stopped all seizures, but made her lose weight, too - GRRRR! Why can't my meds ever have a side effect of getting thinner, not fatter?I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Thanks Careful. I wouldn't know what to say to the Samaritans, I'm sure I would come across as a very selfish person. I wish I had a phoneline to my mothers consultant surgeon though.
If only someone could help me understand, not that it would make a difference but I'm a control freak in a situation I can't control.
I've been doing the really stupid thing of using the net to find out about my mum's illness (lung cancer) and just driving myself around the twist. I need to make myself a cup of tea and tell myself to behave.
Thanks again Careful, I feel better already, I only wish the two mothers could be so easily helped. If anything I say starts to make sense, PANIC!0 -
I get simple partial, complex partial and the full blown tonic clonic in equal measures. The last cp I had resulted in me standing with my finger in boiling water for almost a minute
My meds are still being tweaked but the ones Im on at the moment have made me lose weight, well them and losing my driving licence.0 -
I apologise if you think I am totally rude but I saw the argument you started on another thread and followed that, therefore I was purely concerned that as your first post on here told us how unfriendly and cliquey you find it, it wasnt the best way to begin posting?
I also didn't say I found the thread unfriendly, just difficult to join in.
As I say, it would seem that my friend and also myself are right. If you are not part of the "in crowd" you are made to feel unwelcome. I am not a confident person. I followed the chatter adn the more cliquey it seemed, the harder it was to start anything.
I felt it wasnt appropriate to mention any condition, for example, when there was a lot of talk about unrelated stuff, like when someone was knocked over.
When I did pluck up some courage and tentatively asked if it was ok to post several people answer, not with a welcome, but with rude messages that seem to be saying "This is our thread" It is honestly how you have made me feel.0
