you can duel boot with 7 easily
as you have XP already just put in your 7 disk and duel boot. not sure why you want to have a bootable external driveSurvey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £5740 -
if your thinking you will use the windows 7 on a external comp to others it probably wont work, due the hardware being different from what it installed on.0

yes if you thinking of having a bootable mobile harddrive to plug into other computers, and run Win7 then no it wont work. You would also be breaking the terms of use.Survey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £5740

I'm pretty sure you can't download the release candidate or get a valid key for it anymore, so you'll have to wait for the real thing to go on sale.0

Can any of you tech guys tell me what the cost of Windows 7 is likely to be. My hubby is using that free version at the moment, but is expecting this to only be free for a year then he will have to purchase it or something?! Sorry I don't know much about this?!0

Upgrade Edition (PC DVD) ??? Upgrade... When did this happen! I thought they were only selling full versions.0

I'm using 7 at the moment and i'd think twice before you upgrade. Vista really isn't a bad OS. I've been having issues with Win 7 and am thinking about going back to vista.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
