I had security called but they weren't rude, they just made me aware that they know who I am!

That is a horrible way to be treated and I am glad you will be complaining.

I had managed to rack up £15 worth of points on my card but hen I purchased cosmo and B magazine today using my points I was asked to pay £0.15 as I only had £5 worth of points on my card.

I told her that I had clearly £15 on my receipt yesterday but I was in a rush. Not amused my points have disappeared. Anyone else or just me? I didn't think I was overdoing it!!! :-(

i wanted to get rid of my remaining few vouchers today so used 2 this morning. then went back in afternoon but the lady SA checked with another man to check if it's still valid but he recognised me from earlier on and told her that i'd already used it. so she asked whether i'd used the voucher already and that it can only be used once so i acted all dumb and said 'really'? :p at least there was enough to on the card to pay for the goods!

I must admit, I was getting a little concerned about this possibility and decided yesterday to change all my clubcard points to WH Smith gift vouchers (the paper type).

    I'm glad I did...Just in case.

Well as I work opposite wh smiths, I pass every lunchtime ( am usually in there reading the magazines anyway..) but I only use one per visit, as it is a small branch with only one till, I go every lunchtime and sometimes on the way home. I have used this voucher about 20 times, so the assistants must recognise me by now, but they haven't made me fell embarrassed and no-one has told me that the coupon can only be used once...either they are nice or don't bother reading the Ts and Cs..

Probably dont bother reading the T&C, most dont lol. I actually tell them how to use it as some dont even know themselves

Also, I am a bit confused as to why I don't receive any emails with the vouchers even though I am a club card member - do they only email some vouchers to some people?

Email Clubcard@whsmith.co.uk and ask to be added to the mailing list

I tried to use one voucher at one store, and a very rude shop assistant asked me if I'd used one before because otherwise my card would get blocked. Luckily it was the first one I used so I wasn't worried although I was quite annoyed, especially when he refused to let me pay with the points!!

And then to top it all off, I went to another whsmith store a few days later and tried to ue another one (to see if he was lying about my card being blocked), the shop assistant had obviously not seen one before, and asked another one if it was ok, she then went and asked the manager, came back and said I couldn't use it because it was photocopied!!!! (My black ink had been running out, so it wasn't perfect but easily readible, and nothing wrong with it at all.) By this time I was exremely annoyed and said I want to speak to her, which I did. Although they let me use it in the end, she said quietly to the assistant "I'm not happy about it, but I suppose she's got to buy her book".

That is the last time I go to whsmith (except to use these vouchers of course!) and I'll be writing a letter to complain about the service I receieved too.

And it definitely does not block your card to use more than one!

Thats total BS about the card being blocked I can assure you they are just trying to scare you.

As for him not letting you spend you points, thats your right as a clubcard member to be able to spend your points, otherwise whats the point in having one!

I wouldn't worry about them saying its photocopied, I actually scale the voucher down to fit in my wallet, then paste as many as i can onto publisher so they will fit on to save paper lol.

The service you received was poor, I would phone head office and complain about the manager of the store, they will soon sort it out.

Spend you points on the same transaction as the voucher, otherwise you may see your points dissaper. Read my post earlier advising not to get e-giftcards either.
