Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
    Are thinking of you today.
  • :( On a sad note though, have you seen the new trip advisor review?
Just read it too - the author's stated location is just up the road from me!

You have to wonder why this man, who obviously dislikes people, owns hotels?!!! Are the staff as awful as he is because they're unhappy working for him or has he handpicked a miserable bunch of losers to make their customers stay as unpleasant as possible?

A wedding should be a happy occasion, something to remember because it was a lovely day, not a day to look back on with regret because the venue and staff were awful. Its just amazing that this man has a hotel in a beautiful location yet he makes his customers' stay hell!!!! Anyway, at least your wedding will be a wonderful occasion now. I must admit, I wouldn't have dreampt about checking a venues reviews if I'd thought it was in a lovely location (not that I'm getting married - been there, done it - twice!!!) My daughter's planning on getting married next year so I'll certainly be advising her and her partner to check out any venues they're considering, thanks to you!! For that reason I think it would be good to go public and, as someone else suggested, to add this link to other wedding forums. I think I agree with Sarah about going to the local press when you're both ready. This man certainly deserves to lose business. What an absolute horror!!!!

    Congratulations Beks!

I have been reading this thread for the past few months now and am really pleased for you that it is all getting better!
I've even got my h2b into it so that he often asks "has that girl got her money back yet?"

We figured out the venue too... not through any sort of detective work but merely by going to TA and trying to find somewhere with bad reviews - really shows you how terrible these people are!

Take care and let us all know when the $$$s hit the bank account - lots of us are cheering you on!:A

Have just joined MSE and planning a wedding hopefully for next year so will be looking for tips for sure!

Congratulations Beks. I haven't replied before but I have been keeping up with everything. If I was in your shoes I don't know if I would have been able to cope and to persevere! Congratulations on doing so and hopefully he gets what he deserves. A wedding is meant to be a happy time and the best day of your life, not to be ruined by a slimeball like him!!

I was determined not to post on this thread until I'd found out where the place was, even though I've never been to Kent in my life! :rotfl::rotfl:

I spent a wee while searching on Trip Advisor, and have found it now. Wow, wow, wow. I would like to go it for myself. Sounds like Basil Fawlty had better watch out. The latest review is a disgrace, andthe review by the wheelchair user :eek::eek::eek:Words fail me.

I am delighted this has now come towards a resolution for you Beks, and I hope the Bailiffs kick his !!!! good and proper.
