Morning all
My neighbour is on Economy 7 I think because her WM &TD are always on during the night & they are against the dividing wall, I used to wake with a start wondering what the noise was & go round my house thinking the noise was coming from my house, now I wake up, remember it her machines & go back to sleep.
WM is on here & 1st load is on the line, not sure what else we will do today, hubby got a M&S voucher for his b'day from his mum & gardening tools from my kids.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Good morning everyone!
We had a great trip to the South Lakes animal park on friday. It rained at first but then brightened up. You got really close to the animals and the highlight for me was the lion feeding. Yesterday we found a 'beach' for dd to play on for an hour in heavy drizzle before we came home. She had a great time and I collected lots of little pink shells that I'm thinking of making into something for her. Mum didn't find it as pleasant as the last time she played on the beach with dd-hot sunshine in Tenerife!!!
DD is going to Grandmas this morning and I'm planning to cook a YS chicken breast joint along with twinks, jam tarts and a sausage roll for dd's lunch tomorrow.
I need to have a tidy round and finish sewing DD's name on her pumpbag and fill in the forms for schol tomorrow-nothing like leaving things to the last moment!
I love the fence MSD.
Hope everyone has a good day.July grocery- 24.40/220. NSD-1/3.

Good morning,
Not much to do today, just a bit of cleaning round, and ds's packed lunch to make for tomorrow (1st day at school yay!).
Yesterday I sorted my freezer out, so I can fit more things in it if I have to, and I have a better idea of what is in there. I made hob nobs and cherry scones, which I also shared with my neighbour (I was paid with a large glass of wine :rotfl:). We made fairy cakes too, but ds's friends were in playing, so only about 4 left....
I started clearing out the shelves in the utility room. The power ranger suit that got sucked up the hoover finally made it into the bin, amongst other general rubbish. My husband is a total hoarder, but he's not home for another 6 weeks or so, so it's a good chance to [STRIKE]get rid of his junk[/STRIKE] tidy up.
Take care all of you.0 -
Had a quiet day yesterday as family went off for the day to visit relative and help clear out their garage for them.
Will pack a picnic for today as we are all going to help with clearing out stuff again today. No idea what we have tonight but will just go with the flow.
Enjoying some peace and quiet with a pot of tea and the laptop before I need to spring into action.
Four nighties are trying to dry on the line outside to take to auntie in hospital- glad I took advantage of sale and bought her six new ones.
Hugs to everyone and see you later."This site is addictive!"

Morning all,
Bright beautiful day here :T, I am sitting up in bed with the laptop, pot of tea and hm jam on toast
.
DD had a sleepover last night, and they (and the dog) are still fast alseep on the lounge floor, I will give them another 5 mins, then get them up.
I am going to strip the beds today and get them on the line, OH has promised to hoover the cars out, and mow the lawn.
I would also like to get out and see if the blackberrys are ready yet.
Haribo, thanks for the suggestion re the grapes, think I will try it, but I have a grape vine literally covered in grapes, there must be at least 200 bunches to use up
Pork chops for lunch today, with roasties, cabbage carrots and green beans. (from the garden)
DD needs to make sure all her stuff is ready for school, then it will be baths and an early night ready for tomorrow.
Dizzybuff, until a few years ago, I worked full time and was a single parent to my dd, and was still os, it can be done, just takes a lot of organisation
Going to make a lemon drizzle cake later, and some cookies for dd's packed lunch.
Have good days all xx0 -
Morning all! :hello:
MSD: they aren't allowed to wear their shoes in the classroom, they have to wear slippers instead. Actually makes you wonder when they wear their (expensive Clarks) school shoes other than walking to and from school as they wear slippers in the classroom, wellies for outside play and trainers for sports!
My washing machine is usually on well before 10am, we have economy 7 so I try to get as much washing (and drying if necessary) done on cheap rate. I think (and hope!) that my machine is quiet enough and my walls thin enough for it not to upset the neighbours. I have certainly never heard theirs.
Off to see the wonders of Morrisons in a minute. Have had to jiggle my meal plan around a little to accomodate OH working late one night and the boys having football practice and sports club two other nights, plus me having a PTA meeting and another meeting for nursery school. Forgot how quickly it all turns to disarray once they go back to school!
We are having roast chicken for lunch, with runner beans from my inlaws garden, carrots and new potatoes. For pud I will make a bread and butter pudding as I have stale bread and plenty of eggs. Am going to make some Twinks Hobnobs for lunchboxes later, and put some fruit to soak to make tea bread tomorrow.
Hope you all have a good day! x
Ooh forgot to say that last night I finished my eldest's footballer knitted toy for Christmas. I am very pleased with it. Before I start on Shaun the Sheep for my younger son I am going to make a crochet flower brooch for myself. I saw a lovely one in a craft fair over the summer but it was £7(!) and I was sure I could make one myself... have found a free pattern online, have plenty of yarn and my mum has a crochet hook that I can borrow so hopefully it will turn out OK! I thought it would look nice pinned to my wool coat in the winter.0 -

Please be aware that it was all in need of a weed and the lawn cutting, and the bank at the front is bare because we are stripping it of ivy and brambles and it's taking a long time!
