I iz here...:hello: I hit the ground running this morning and have only just sat down....
Got up and went to running club...just a nice easy run to ease me in.....:T
then dismantled kitchen to find pump has leaked under my cupboards and is the source of bad smell....mopped up and left kickboard off to air under cupboards...
Then mowed grass front and back...then made lunch...then went to Ikea....then dropped gas BBQ off at DD1's (they might use it more than me) and now I am back...knackered but pleased that I seemed to have got a lot of things done this weekend.
I am going to get DS round on Wednesday for the day to put curtain poles up and help me take stuff to the tip and I actually feel like I am catching up with my life...instead of being a hamster on a wheel...
Off to make tea now...
Phew Sammy - have a glass of wine. I'm exhausted just reading it.0 -
Ex has just phoned me having a go about me needing to cancel the dentist, being twuntish. He says it's because of gigs and I'm stupid putting them before my health. OK so I caught the cold at leeds fest, but I wasn't to know that would happen! And yesterday I came home early and didn't go at all today cos of being ill. He also disapproves of my book clubs, so maybe he just has a problem with me having any life.
Anyway, sorry to moan, I'm just very annoyed!Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
evening all -
ames, your ex is jealous cause you're proving you can get on without his so called live in care.... tell him to bog off!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Hi all, sorry to gate crash but just wondered if I could ask here before posting a new thread. I thought maybe someone may know
In about 3 months (ish) I want to do a private balloon release. We are talking me, 100 ballons and a professional photographer in a local field. Anyone have any idea if I need a licence etc? Also anyone know where I can get 100 helium filled ballons, I know hobby craft do them for 49p each  If all else fails its going to me with three ballons but I would really like to do a 'big' release.
Oh and I do understand its not too good on the environment, it may be just the three balloons anyways0 -
I second Maz Ames.
Tell him to bog off.

Pap have a look on ebay as you can pick up bulk balloons there. I have no idea about whether you have to have a licence, guess you need to make sure you're not near any airfields, pilons etc though!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. Hmm dunno pap, why do you want to do it? Im just being nosey.
I know you can get the helium kits with the gas can and balloons in costco, maybe in your store too??? I don't know how many balloons the gas can will fill but it's bound to be cheaper than getting filled ones from hobby craft.:A

When I did one for our church summer fair I know you have to inform air traffic control if over a certain number. We hired a cylinder and balloons.0 -

Pap, speak to the local council's events dept or their arts & enterainment dept. They should be able to advise if you need a license.Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!DFW Long Hauler Supporter No 1500
