I'm glad he's got in contact so let see what happens.
have sent you a PM with the names of the family listed at that property and their home number should require another way of contacting them other than ebay/ e-mail
(All obtained legally from the internet)
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.

From that last email he sent you, I would say it looks positive.

He wouldnt respond to you went he thought he had got away with your money. Maybe, he hadnt drawn the money out of his account before you processed the charegeback and now it frozen there.

That email sounds like an attempt for you to drop the dispute to release his funds.

Also from his language and his auctions, sound to me like its just a kid.

Just A quick update. I have just got an email from Paypal telling me the sellers funds have been frozen until the dispute is resolved which is good news I think!! I really needed some because as I have just posted on the grabbit forums I have been told today I am not getting my Samsung TV from Freemans.  Plus, my PC at home blew up last night.

I got you Pm Smartie, thanks a lot. Something to keep if things don't get sorted. Is the wise position still not to respond to e-mails ffrom the seller that are outside Ebay? If he is no longer registered, would he be able to contact me through them?

    Hi all,

Well surprise surprise. No laptop has turned up so I thought I would take a look at the Paypal dispute status. This is the latest from the seller status.

"Thank you for providing proof that a refund was already issued to the buyer. We are reviewing this case and will contact you if we require additional information or when we reach a decision. No further action is required of you at this time"

OMG. What refund!! It still shows as a debit in my Paypal account! How can he send proof of a refund? I can feel my blood pressure rising as I type!!

    Yozzer,

If no refund comes contact your credit card company. I bought an ipod off another auction site last year, got scammed. Paypal didn't want to know. Contacted Barclaycard, had the money refunded as soon as they got my claim form. They then reclaimed the money from Paypal who sent me a snotty email.

If you haven't received the goods, then that is Fraud. Credit card companies have to respond.

Also if something does turn up from the seller, open it before you sign for it. If it's a heavy book, instead of a Laptop, then refuse to sign and send it away!

Thanks for that Trencherpilot. I did approach the CC company yesterday but they told me to wait a few more days. I'm still concerned by the response from Paypal saying the seller has sent proof of a refund. That doesn't make any sense to me at all.

Can I take this opportunity to thank everyone who has responded. It has helped me immensely.

Soo or someone may contradict here, but I thought the only way a refund could be accepted by Paypal was for it to have been sent through them. Otherwise anyone could promise to send money back and just forget!

It took about 14-21 days for me to resolve my little lapse of concentration last year. I know how you feel, I wanted blood and then removable interchangable body parts!!!

Just a quick updatel. My invisible laptop problem is still in the dispute phase with Payapal who are quite happily holding on to my £440. It looks like the seller is still corresponding to Paypal, what about I don't know. They have only sent me one e-mail?? I spoke to Paypal customer services at the beginning of the week and the guy said he would request a refund on my behalf within 48 hrs.

I was wondering if it was now time to get a refund through my CC company. I think 2 and a half weeks is sufficient time for Paypal to conclude the case. Any thoughts anyone?

I hope you get it all sorted out soon - Lesson learnt not to buy highend goods unless you can actually see tthem and pay cash for them from newbie members
On a second note do other users a favour and leave negatiov feedback so they are aware and don't make the same mistake
