II am now beginning to seriously wonder if most of the men on this board actually reduce to about 3 individuals who all post non-stop in multi-personas...

To be honest I have been accused of being a "sockpuppet" but I can honestly say I could not be @ssed with all that.
Also my spelling and grammar is a dead give away.;)
I find the whole multi ID thing very odd. In the outside world it is called scitzophrenia.

Me too!!! I can't read the signs at all. Probably why I have been accused of rape so often.

tbh - I'm not too sure how that comment is going to be received.

It's those male showers at the Gym mewb's,
looking for the soap, along comes a mewbie, literally:eek:. :)

I can vouch that I only post as myself and have no other IDs/Personas

    ...who said that?

I'd love to meet some of the people on here - all women, with the exception of Pobby. And Generali, if he wasn't in Oz. TBH, someone said something yesterday about 2 pairs of posters being one person (ie 4 people that I had previously thought were all separate posters, being 2 people), and I am now beginning to seriously wonder if most of the men on this board actually reduce to about 3 individuals who all post non-stop in multi-personas...

Whereas with the women - I'm fairly sure that PN, lostinrates, fc123, Single Sue etc are real people with real lives as described. They all sound nice and normal.

I get the feeling I'd be a terrible disappointment if anyone met me - I don't drink, or v v v v little, for a start. I'm pretty much excatly the same in the flesh as I am on here, with the exception that I don't usually bother to get into arguments with random strangers in real life. (Well, I can think of one particular occasion when I was quite abominable to someone who was gratuitously rude to me on a bus :o ; I'm not proud of it, and I doubt she's ever forgotten it, either.) I'm just someone's mum in real life - kind of dull, you know. :)

What a nice thing to say carolt. I would like to meet you and quite a few here. I am exactly the same here as in real life. I have no sock puppets and only come here as me. Glad you don`t drink carolt, at least I know of one person that could get me home safely.

I am normal, except my speshulness... but that's quite endearing and once you know it's there it's quite funny to pick up on it and laugh at every faux pas and mishap :)

    :)

My daughter's best friend was diagnosed with Asperger's a few months back; I wouldn't have guessed. She seems perfectly 'normal, whatever that is, to me; a bit shy, and mercifully accepting of those occasions when my DD is painfully bossy, in imitation of her big sister (= grown-up, in her mind ).

I dont really get how these things work - you seem rather sensitive and witty - somehow I have a vague idea these syndrome-y things or whatever they're called ought to make you like Marvin the Paranoid Android, or Spock off Star Trek. Which you're clearly not.

    We're all 'speshul', aren't we?

PS I was lying when I said I was dull. Unless you're one of the gaggle of mums at my kids' school whose only topic of conversation is who did their hair and what colour their nails are today. In which case, I'm very, very dull. :)

    Oh no!

    Except I don't drive!

    !!!!es off my OH, too.

    What's the point of a non-drinker, if they don't drive? ;)

That's the trouble, being normal. Perceived as normal... then "from nowhere" comes a blow that completely outcasts the person. In one sentence any/all relationships are completely terminated forever .... and the aspie has no idea it even went on, they just spot that everybody seems to not like them. And 200+ other things that are just indiscernible.

It's very complex and virtually impossible to explain because there's no one size fits all, it's not like I'm missing a leg and can point and say "Can't get up the stairs, leg missing"

I often wondered the point of soap on a rope, now I know.

The advert could have been so different, they would have sold thousands to prisons.

Suppose it's easier when the person concerned is only 7. 7 year olds all do bizarre things periodically and friendships end every 5 minutes for reasons unapparent to everyone else, so just par for the course, really.

One of the advantages of growing older, I find, is that although I'm more aware of people's subtle messages, body language, etc, I care far far less than I did when I was younger.

So I may (?) pick up on more than you - though I doubt it - but mercifully, give far less of a damn than I did.

The worst thing must be to pick up on all this, and worry dreadfully about it.
