What would happen if all the people on this board actually met?

they'd run out of the best bargain booze pretty quickly
Either that or everyone would take their own or get drunk before they turn up for a cheap night :rotfl:MFW - <£90kAll other debts cleared thanks to the knowledge gained from this wonderful website and its users!0 -
There is something ever so slightly seedy about meeting up with someone from the internet.
I have a friend who met a bloke from some forum or other (not this one as I imagine the men here are all too [STRIKE]cheap[/STRIKE] frugal to travel). Her mother told her he was probably a child molester but he turned out to be an electrician.
It wasn't seedy, it was actually a lovely evening (and it wasn;t moneysaving newbie or ny other nissan driving person). I also really wanted to meet PN and Pobby (we arranged it) but then all that NDG rubbish happened and DH put his foot down. (not thinking anything was up with PN and Pobby but saying if I met them I'd want to meet everybody and assume you'd all get on in real life). The person I met was someone who we had known of off the internet too.
I've met people from elsewhere, and in the main its ok but ever so slightly disappointing. Some are good chums now, people who are as good or better in real life than in person. A couple of that sort live in Aberdeen and can't understand why I keep asking them about housing there :rotfl: Oh, and I go and stay with people I've met through my ''industry relevant'' forums. Its a small world and we all know the smae people and I'd walk over coals for some of them.
ETA: sorry its a dodgy slow typing night I did strt this before PN asked me a question!0 -
Would it work out cheaper to rent or buy a venue/
Also how much does the average venue cost?
should we be able to afford a venue each?0 -
haha - I'm pretty sure hpc had a pub meet - but then theres probably more agreement on there than here.
Tbh I've had some good old slanging matches on here with people over the years - but somehow I keep logging on for another round. Its almost like siblings you cant stop fighting with tbh.
That doesnt mean I wouldnt throw my burger at Dan however. Well maybe not a whole burger unless it was wetherspoons two for one. Half of the bun.
Maybe a chip.0 -

eta: when we buy somewhere I might invite a few people round to tell me off or congratualte me. But I might not. DH isn't keen on it to be honest.
I've met people off of HPC. Does that count?0 -

Q2. Who is the most ridiculous bull on MSE?
Q3. Is the UK the most indebted nation in Europe?
Q4. Will house rise or fall over the next three years?
And THEN .. the punch up.
A1. I don't know, but I think she's attractive.
A2. H
A3. Either Italy, Greece or Iceland.
A4. No idea.
How many did I get right?

We could have an effigy of Martin beaming benignly down on us.
Will I get banned if I say I am not the dreadfully keen on Martin?Retail is the only therapy that works0 -
